"Mines" is correct?

"mines" can be "mine is" right? people use "don't" without the apostrophe anyway or more than 1 mine?

if you say mines you'd be talking about more than one mine. using don't without the apostrophe is improper. mine's is the proper way.

I guess if you're saying "Mine's that one" ? It wouldn't make sense though if you say "That's mine's"

It never makes sense to say "mine's" or "mine is". It's much easier to pronounce and easier for other people to hear/understand if you just said "That's mine."
