Good Ice Lightning Mage Skill Build?

Ice Strike � 30 Amplification � 30 Thunder Spear � 30 Magic Booster � 15 Seal � 15 Slow � 20 Partial Resistance � 1 not necessarily in that order, but by the time I'm 120 this is going to be what my skill build looks like, due to the numerous input of many different people. This will result in booster lasting for 150 secs, seal having an 80% chance of success and lasting for 17 seconds. Good? Bad? Pros? Cons? thanks for the input, all advice is welcome.

uhh imo, i dont think you'll need slow. plus you'll be able to freeze the monsters so its kinda pointless o.o the skill points are better off in seal and booster.

I wouldn't sacrifice all those points from booster and seal just to max slow. Personally, I would do composition instead of TS since it is said that Chain Lightning replaces TS completely. Edit: At level 120, you would have 151 AP points to use. According to your build, you would only use 141 of them. That means you can still max out seal and booster. Since you can max them both(seal and booster) out, I would say that it's a decent build.

take out all of thunder spear, put into comp arrow. Put the remaining 10 points into resist

Booster and Seal should be definitely be maxed! Why? ... You are going to use that for the rest of your life! From my experiences, Compo>TS. Bossing is something you are not going to be doing until 120+ so Shutup about "Oh it can KB something at a lower Lvl then Compo" If you are so until bossing, QUIT I/L and create a NL BM or a Corsair f3. You are going to be training alot, and you will be using Compo. TS looks real strong, but truth is, It is sooooooo slow that the damage showing eventually gets lapped by compo f3. Basically saying Compo>TS dpm wise. To now, I still use Seal and Booster, so therefore maxing those would be a great benefit. I left 1TS for fun, but even if you are not convinced by my perspective about TS, then you will have to still go freeze, THEN TS. Unless you can HKO or want to be hit couple thousand damages from monster. If you go Compo, It can freeze, does higher damage than TS dpm wise , etc. Well, its your story, Live it your way. But srsly, I don't know why you would raise it besides you opinion of it looking cool. Well HF w/ your build. happy Mapling~ (:

It is but you're never gonna use it once you have chain lightning which makes it useless and not worth the time/points to max it out. Magic Composition would be a better choice since it can be cast faster. The DPM would increase with Comp.

dude let him decide about compo and spear himself o.o it's all about looking sexy, it's not like you're going to use compo in 4th anyway.....and having pure lightning is good against ice strong bosses.....yes i do boss, i was killing levathian for fun and imagine pitting magic claw against it..... btw spear is stronger on lightning weak, comp is strongest on neutral and ice weak, cold beam is best for tactics

You going to abadon both in 4th, but compo allows you to freeze and better damage when you are training on RW Skele/Newties.

Yeah, I didn't realize I left out 10 points o_o I was just playing around in my head about builds. I'm torn because I have a 101 IL friend and a 110 IL friend, the 101 went Comp and the 110 went TS. I play with the 110 more, and yesterday after he leveled to 110 at Red Wyverns he hit them for over 11k with TS (27 points in it) Yes it doesn't freeze them, but what damage would Comp do with same points at the same level? (jw) And the 101 friend said he was training at Skele's and he said there are too many to IS by himself without getting hit a lot, so he was using Comp to kill them one by one faster. Some say "IS is all you'll ever use and need when training" While others have said things like "you will deff use comp during training once you get a decent amount of points in it" I plan to move onto skele's after red wyverns exp slows down, but I already have 3 or 4 points into TS. Should I abandon it now, or keep at it? By the way, I plan to boss with my alliance during my 1xx, be part of a zrun team eventually, and go to pap and crow and all them, so is TS better for more bosses in general?

I'd be bossing with my alliance anyway, so consistent KB and damage is more important than a flashy big number
