The reason why governments, for example Indian government, fail to get far is due to their members. 1/4th of the MPs (members of parliament) are actually mafias who had connections with politicians and then became politicians themselves. And more than 50% of them take bribes, are unruly and only care for people of 'their' caste, language, religion, state, etc. Also, the politicians are inexperienced in their job. They just got picked out of popular voting or because his/her family members were famous in the same field. Out of all the politicians in India, barely a a fifth of them are not corrupt and unjust. No matter how good the president may be, most of his subordinates will be wrongly chosen and will not do their jobs properly. Yes, this belongs in site.

Lol. Two kids fighting over who's right and who's wrong. Stay on topic guys. -_- My view is that no one government is correct or the best. Pros and cons. Like I said earlier, it's more the people who run in government than the type of government.

In just about every other forum I know, the warning system works like this: Warn -> warn -> final warning -> temp ban -> temp ban -> permanent ban. Basil works like this: Temp ban -> temp ban -> temp ban -> temp ban -> permanent ban. It's curious to note that the mods did have a way of warning people. It was a 5 minute suspension, but I'm told it was deemed a "glitch" and "fixed". By lack of transparency, I mean that everything, and I really do mean everything is done under the radar. If a post is deemed ban or thread worthy, it's just deleted anonymously. I think this is a poor way of doing things. Other forums, such as MapleTowers, have their moderators keep a record of any warns and bans. Wikipedia and every other wiki keeps records of blocks . Some forums append bad posts with "(Warned by X for Y on Z)". BasilMarket lacks all of these features. I've heard that this is to 'protect' the mods from abuse, if this is true, I suggest the mods grow a thick skin." I don't really care about whether there was transparency or not. But, warnings seem too babyish.

Its already poor in some parts, but Bad Goverment + Wallstreet break down + Poverty = BIG PROBLEM Originally, I thought India was an exotic, exiting place with pride. Obviously not; bribes, Mafia's, connections, that doesn't sound like pride to me." Some thread in a GAMING forum is obviously.. nevermind.

"It has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried." - Winston Churchill @ Bobo: I'm confused now, so let me ask for clarification: Is the majority of Basil considered"babies", or are we considered responsible people with reasonable wit, such as your own? When you close the 'potentially' bad threads, it seems as though we are being sheltered from the strong opinions of others, we're being 'babied'. When you don't give us warnings because you would be 'babying' us, it begins to get confusing. Are we, or are we not babies?

Your 'truth' is ergo not truth, but instead a corollary based on a simple observation. When one looks closer, one may realize that it is not 'truth' at all, but simply an opinion. So no, I will not deny your opinion. I will deny your 'truth'." ROFL.

Government fails as a whole. Every single government that has existed either has or will fail. The only way any government will work even remotely is if we have a world government. Vanquish all borders and admit that we are all the same, part of the same race. Government fails because it is only there to serve the purpose of the people living in the country that they are in charge of. When in reality we should be thinking of every other single human being on the planet. And honestly I don't even think that this could work. This is because of a few human dispositions, Greed, Envy, ect. As humans born in this horrible excuse we call an existence, we are raised with certain beliefs that we can not expel from society. Due to this there will never be a government that will be a fix-all to the problems we face. I honestly think the only way the world can band together is if 90% or more of the human race is destroyed by some means. We must realize that the borders, the general belief that we are all divided by means of religion, race, and the petty disagreements that we have is what keeps the human race from accelerating to a future without crime, without hate, and without all the major problems we have in the world today or that we will face in the future.

"The only way to live in this world is without rules." -From a great philosopher. Lol But anyways, I honestly believe that it is possible in some cases for society handle it's own problem. Unfortunately, humans aren't perfect which means violence, greed, hatred, and other prime factors of chaos will always exist in the human society.

Sensible way* The same philosopher once said, "Why so serious."
