FREE Alternative to fraps?

ya like fraps is really good ( actually perfect ) for taking video of maple but i dont feel like paying for it. Does anyone know a FREE alternative to fraps that is just as good?

Nothing in this world is ever free, except for love. You could try CamStudio, but it's not that great compared to Fraps.

As in another program that is just plain free.

You can use hypercam. Theres a free version of it, but you are forever cursed with a small "unregistered hypercam" logo in the upper ryt corner. That can be easily edited out. The cool thing about hypercam is you can adjust the recording size. like if u wanted to record a 400 by 400 pixel square of your monitor its possible.
