Okay, so i think I decided to not get FA, as it decreases mobbing skills. So what should I put into other than FA? Cuz idk what to do with the 30 points, lol. I know, post2short, get over it.

WTH O.o since when does any page go without FA? why is FA bad for mobbing? Im making a page and now im wondering why not get FA? :O thanx =)

FA is gonna reduce your mob damage on 5-6 targets, because it does about 15-20 damage on the 5th and 3-5 on the 6th target (while regular slashblast does 130% but is slower). So when you attack large mobs, it would be better to just use Slashblast. On the other hand, it's about a 20-25% boost in Powerstrike damage over time, which is a significant improvement and IMO worthwhile.

O.o i thought it was like a 7-8% increase. O.o

Normal speed weapon (6): Powerstrike - 720ms = 260% Powerstrike&FA - 1120ms = 510% Powerstrike alone is 260%/720ms = 361% per second. FA activates 60% of the time, so for 10 Powerstrikes, you get 4 PS + 6 PS&FA, total of 9600ms @ 4100% = 427% per second. 427/361 = 118%. So I guess it's a little under 20%.. I didn't remember exactly. But that's quite significant still.

Munbane, i hear your problem, and this is why i have come to solve it. In the new guide that has been forked over to me, I have created a section just for this purpose! So you are in luck! After you read this, i suggest you go to the guide that is mine, and read upon the skill build on which you decide. To FA or not to FA? There has been a lot of controversy on weather or not new pages should get Final attack or not. I have read up on Seyains guide and have noticed that contrary to normal beliefs of Final Attack actually making your damage per second higher on mobs, it does not. It makes it actually harder to kill a mob of 6, which is a huge detriment in training in the 2nd job and 3rd job (Noted not as much in 3rd job). Seyain: (The following calculations are given credit to Seyain) First target that spawned: 166.9% damage base Second target: 55.63% damage base Third target: 18.54% damage base Fourth target: 6.18% damage base Fifth target: 2.06% damage base Sixth target: 0.69% damage base Basically, imagine two scenarios. In one, you are in front of a mob, and you use Slash Blast and Final Attack activates every time. The last enemy to die (in fact, the last three to die) are taking virtually no damage from Final Attack, and you have to attack eight times total before they die (four combos of SB + FA). In the other situation, you do not have FA, and it takes only five attacks (since Slash Blast will hit those enemies for the full 130% damage every time) to slaughter the entire mob. Another way to address the speed vs. damage lost is like this. Your attack per minute count with a Devil's Sunrise is 96 with FA, or 84 without it. But with FA, 36 of those attacks are FA and only 60 are Slash Blast, meaning you are actually using 24 fewer Slash Blasts, and 36 FA's only deal about as much total damage as 12 Slash Blasts. Of course, in practice you are never spamming mob attacks for a full minute, but now suppose you attack for ten seconds (which is pretty reasonable against a tremendous jr. yeti, Forest of Golem, Ludi dungeon or Himes mob). In those ten seconds, you will most likely use 10 Slash Blasts and 6 Final Attacks if you have maxed FA, and this would total 9300% on six monsters, 7996% on five monsters, 6683% on four monsters. Or you could, with no FA, use 14 Slash Blasts, and hit 10920% on six monsters, 9100% on five monsters, or 7280% on four monsters. In fact, on six monsters you would beat SB with FA on the 12th attack - or 1 1/2 seconds faster, similar to the length of time it takes to walk to a new mob. Imagine playing a warrior who can kill mobs as fast as he would if he didn't have to walk! ColdCrush: Now lets use some calculations on some monsters, such as a popular training ground for mobbing- Mysterious Path 3. Well take a level 70 White knight, and compare one with the same damage range with Final attack, to one without final attack. 1200 ~ 1900 Final Attack White Knight on 3 slimys and 3 selkie jrs. Firstly, well say that fina

Biotic said: "I was thinking of going FAless because of what the guide said about it and somone told me FA is anoyying. I don't know why it's annoying though." Some believe FA is annoying due to the fact that you simply do not have any control over it, since it activates at times you may not want it to, and it hinders your dpm while using slash blast a lot. However, it significantly increases dpm while using FA while attacking with power strike. Your friend probably doesn't like FA because it goes off at times he doesn't want it to or he has noticed that it slows down his dpm while using slash blast. However perhaps he takes it for granted when it does go off when needed, and that it increases dpm during power strike? The decision is up to you more or less, some get FA last because for training these days, it mostly consists of heavy mobbing. Some don't get it at all, and dump their points into iron body or go the hybrid build.
