uhm... lol? dude, i built my computer for 600 dollars from tigerdirect... runs crysis on high settings easy. who cares about shipping, pay the shipping and you can get what you want there, for less.

dude, look 600+256=856. Following me? You want something thats 900-1100! what im proposing is LESS than that. If you want to spend more, get a server computer motherboard, cost you around 1200 now , without shipping included. get 2 processers But what i said is STILL less than what you want one for.

there is no building page, just research and order. If you want i can help you XP is more stable than vista; vista still has bugs. I use XP as all new games that are coming out still support XP, and i get no bugs. Vista is probably better, if you work out all the glitches.

Alright :P Got any old parts you can salvage from old comp? Power supply? (over 500 watt) Fans? Towers? Hard-drive? CD/dvd/bluray drives?

Just buy the parts and put together yourself, u'll save alot of money. Theres no point on 6-8gb of ram, 2 or 4 is good and i7 cost to performance ratio is horrible, the only good thing is the mobo with tri channel ram and SLI/CROSSFIRE capabilities. Heres a barebone thats a really good price: link Just switch out the cpu to a Core 2 Duo E8400.

hahaha, wezlax, that was pretty much my barebone set-up, minus the HDD and tower Ram is always good though, 8 is no use, but if he uses vista 6 is good. Ram is the least expensive part; you never know what he wants to do, keep in mind crysis is a demanding game, and more is always better. But you are right about Motherboard, SLI is a must. Thats a good barebone, considering the savings and the nice vid card your getting. Why a Duo though?
