I've recently been playing on a new computer with 2 gigs of ram, 400 gigs of space, and a fast cable connection, yet when I play Maple Story there is still a lag in which I notice through large amounts of time for a monster to die, delay of chatting, and a delay in picking up items. Can those who recognize a possible problem or have been through this as well please post a solution or theory? Thank you for reading.

I have this lag a lot, I end up disconnecting and not letting me log in for about 5 minutes. I have the lag where it takes a while to register monsters and when monsters stop moving. I've been lagging for about 2~3 weeks. It might be the event.

I have this lag, particularly on Sundays. It killed me during two z-runs where I was guaranteed a z-helm in both. That is, if I survived.

First of all, this is what some people call "connection lag" or "internet lag", meaning that it has nothing to do with your RAM and how much HD you have. It has everything to do with your connection. If you are playing Global MS and you're from, let's say Europe, you won't get the best latency, since the servers are located in North America. That's one reason. Another reason may be that your connection has some problems. If you experienced this problem recently, then I would suggest to first test out your connection. If you find out there is a problem in it, contact your ISP.
