Fake auction, bid, fb scam = ban

I'm really dissapointed in some of you. I've deleted quite a few accounts in the last few days that range from feedback scamming to fake bids to fake auctions to leaving inappropriate feedback. The saddest part is that many of these people actually have valid feedback. Some have +20, some +50, and some even had over +100. But like I've said, I don't really care HOW much feedback you have, if you abuse the system or users, you will be banned and lose all your feedback. Also, I get a lot of emails and PM's telling me that so and so was never online, didn't want to trade, etc etc.... I appreciate your frustration, but please don't email or PM me about these situations. It is absolutely impossible for me to know who is telling the truth and who is lying. You might feel wronged, but I can't 100% trust your story or their story. The best thing you can do is to ALWAYS leave appropriate feedback and move forward. What most upsets me is how much of a waste of time these scammers and fakers are. I could be working on improving the site, adding the gachapon items, etc etc. But instead I'm sifting through user info trying to determine if someone is scamming, or abusive, etc. It's a waste of time. If this is you, then grow up or leave the site, you're not welcome here. If it's a case where cussing or inappropriate language is used or if you see many feedbacks going to/from one person, then PM me about it and I'll investigate and take appropriate action. Thanks

I swear a little. But mainly because I'm so annoyed with stupid 12yr old idiots(or even 20yr old idiots) that talk krap. I really do hope all the idiots gets banned. But realize that a person shouldn't be banned over 1 post. I have bad days. Everyone has bad days. I don't try to scam, hack, or rip off people. I don't abuse people who actually have intelligent points. I abuse the idiots. If you say 1 + 1 = 3, of course I'm gunna give you krap for being stupid. If you turn around and say it was the way you were taught, kick the krap out of you education syste, not people online.

Uhh.. i have this problem. I sold a scroll to this dude who doesn't have a basil ID so essentially there's no way i can track him and so only he can track me. But the thing is i'm having exams lately and can't be on maple often. So is there anyway i can get in contact with my seller? I've asked him to add me in his buddy list, but so far no response. Should i sell the scroll to someone else or wait for a few more days?

ragnarok, your post has nothing to do with the topic. besides, it's not hard to choose a different word rather than swearing. it's easy to be nasty and mean to people without violating the no-cussing rule. and once again, Crap is spelled with a C. now, as for the topic. thank you mrbasil, yet again. i myself have yet to be scammed, but it's good to know something would be done about it if that were to happen (no wait, i had one person make a new account to overbid themselves when they realized they didnt want to pay that much - or at least i'm pretty sure that's what that was all about). i do send a lot of messages about illegal threads and swearing, i'm glad that isn't a problem, and now i'm also glad i didnt send that message about the one guy to leave me negative feedback... anyway Mapleocean - you sould wait until you have 24 hours to leave feedback, then negative them (assuming you dont get any communications from them). communication is key!

sometimes hard for us non native english people to know whats cussing though, like, is damn cussing? i know snake said it a whole lot on shadow mosses and it kinda stuck :D

Mrbasil, what you're doing now is catching things through detective controls (past activity). Are you thinking about implementing new preventive controls? Otherwise, I just see an upward trend of this type of abuse. I agree it's bad. The % of abusers might even stay the same but as more people start using BasilMarket the raw numbers of abuse is probably rising as well.

I actually have some feedback that we're gained within just minutes after eachother and theyre all from the same person, but it's only because he was selling so many different things and he accepted all my offers, so I got a few positive feedbacks aswell... and I can say that none of the feedbacks i have are from false auctions since I still have most of the stuf left (I think..).
