mrbasilWe're setting up a new section and need info on Class descriptions. If you have a good grasp of your particular class and know the strengths / weaknesses of it, please post below. I've included the description we'll be using for the Thief Class as a reference for what I'm after. The Thief class has great damage and mobility. Assassins (nickname: sins), throw stars while Bandits (nickname: dits) use daggers. Both jobs are highly desired in parties due to Haste, a skill which greatly boosts the Speed and Jump of all party members. Both are also great in Boss runs for various reasons. In fourth job, Night Lords are the most mobile job in the game due to Flash Jump. Their main attack, Triple Throw, when used with Shadow Partner and Venom yields a tremendously powerful 6 star attack. Unfortunately, their HP is one of the lowest in the game and it isn't until higher levels that Night Lords are able to do some Boss runs comfortably. Shadowers are able to attack with incredible damage using Assassinate and Boomerange Step. These fourth job Bandits don't have the same problems with HP thanks to Meso Guard which cuts down HP damage by half and Smoke Shell which provides temporary invulnerability for the party.

I/L's in short are less powerful than F/P's in the second job but they are able to freeze, which saves them money.

Spearman-> Dk-> DrK Pros- Highest Hp in the game with HB, Great mobbing potential, one of the fastest levelers in 3rd job, highly wanted in boss runs for hb and low cost (not extremely low) spear/polearm scrolls. Cons- Its really high hp isnt used fully due to beserk, hard to maintain hp if they are aweful at control, 1v1 damage isnt very impressive, not very fast attk speed, hp pot cost can get high at times.

Bandits Pros Bandits are a favorite amongst many due to their speed and power. They are the 2nd job of the Thief class along side Assassins, the melee, dagger using Bandits. Bandits, like Assasins have Haste which is a party skill that enables themself along with party members temporary boost of speed and jumping. They also have the devastating Savage Blow (SB) which unleases 6 quick slashes that deal up to 80% damage.[480%] A skill that they also have is Steal. Steal is interesting to use as it enables them to literally steal an item from a monster with a given chance rate along with some damage. Chief Bandit Pros Featuring the 3rd job of the Bandits is the Chief Bandit. They a wide range of skills that make them great for any sort of situation. A main favorite of CB users is the Assaulter skill. It enables the user to slash through an enemy with great speed a power dealing up to 450% damage in a single strike and can also cause enemies that are struck to get stunned. Because of its auto lock-on feature you can also use it as a way to move around maps very easily by targeting slightly distant enemies. Another skill of the CB arsenal is the fast mobbing Band of Thieves [Bot] whish is also the fastest AOE skill of all the classes that mobs up to 6 enemies at a time dealing up to 210% damage each. It has also has a very wide range which makes mobbing easier. Pickpocket is a fun support skill that enables the enemy to drop a small amount of mesos with each strike taken from the user. It can also be used with the killer Meso Explosion. Meso Explosion is a skill that enables the user to blow up mesos that are dropped from monsters or them selves (Only them selves) and deals great damage depending on the amount of mesos dropped. The best support skill that CB's have is Meso Guard which cuts all taken damage in half for a short amount of time at the cost of the other half going directly to their own mesos. Shadower Pros Finally introducing the 4th job of Bandits, the Shadower. Shadower skills are mainly skills that either dish out massive damage or assists in avoiding any damage taken. Shadowers have the skill Boomerang Step that enables them to strike up to 4 enemies at a time dealing up to 500% damage TWICE with a mid ranged sweep slash. Boomerang Step also has a short invincibility frame that enables them to not take damage when the skill is used. Assasinate is a favorite among many shadowers as it enables you to slash an enemy up to 4 times with a slight chance of a 5th strike that deals up to 120% damage along with accumulative damage that makes this one of the greatest, fastest damage inflicting skill of all although it requires you go Dark Sight first. Although both the 4th jobs of the Bandits and Assasins have the skill Shadow Shifter, the Shadower skill Shadow Shifter has a higher chance of avoiding any damage at 40% while the Night Lords Shadow Shifter is only 30%. The skill Smoke Shell enables complete invincibility for the party and the user

The Page/White Knight/Paladin class is a commonly under-rated warrior class. This class can use swords or blunt weapons as weapons, and each weapon has its advantages and disadvantages. The sword (by far the more common choice) hits faster and has more stable damge (so there will be less high damage and less low damage), whereas the blunt weapon hits slightly slower and has a far larger range of damage. In terms of end-game weapons (the weapon a Paladin will use for the majority ofhis fourth job), many now choose to use a one handed weapon with an expensive attack shield to make use of the speed that one handed weapons offer. For blunt weapon, the most effective weapon is the Crushed Skull, a level 120 blunt weapon which adds accuracy along with weapon attack, that can be found through the CWK exchange quest. For sword, the strongest one handed sword is the lunchbox, however it is rare to have this weapon since it has only been available once through a quest, and is untradeable. Some sword paladins use a red katana, while even more stay with their two handed stonetooth sword, since this attacks fast in any case. Through the second job the Page is often referred to as the less useful warior since they have no party skills that make parties want to add them to their party. For a lot of the second job a Page will be training on their own. In third job, Pages advance to become White Knights. They use elemental buffs to make their weapons stronger against all monsters, and exremely strong against monsters that are weak to that particular element. The three elements a White Knight can choose from are: Lightning, fire and ice, with lightning being the strongest by a small margin, and Ice being the weakest. However, a White Knight can freeze the monsters he is fighting so that they cannot attack him back! The White Knight must choose training spots carefully, to make the most of the massive advantages they can get against certain monsters. After suffering some of the slowest training in the game during their third job, in fourth job, the very uncommon Paladin is a very strong warrior class. Paladins finally recieve a new attack that is useful: an upgrade to their previously difficult to use Charge Blow, called Advanced Charge Blow. This skill, mastered at level 123 by most Paladins, gives Paladins some of the fastest mobbing ability in the game, as well as being able to train cheaply - Charge Blow stuns enemies at a 90% rate! Paladins will also max their strongest charge, Holy Charge; this charge is used by Paladins to train at Skelegons/Skelesaurus in Leafre, since they are weak to Holy. Paladins also recieve the common warrior skills: Stance allowing them to recieve no knockback when attacked, and rush, allowing them to push monsters with them as they move. Possibly the most amazing Paladin skill is Heaven's Hammer. This skill, affecting 15 monsters on your screen, will reduce the HP of any non-boss monster to 1 and hit 199,999 damage on boss monsters.

Above has the white knights covered thoroughly. Mr.basil, if i can refer you to the warrior comparison wiki, that'll probably give you any/most info you need on warriors. however, i'll reserve this spot for a while. Ok link The warrior comparison wiki. If however, you feel you can't go through it all to pick out specifics, PM me or something, and i'll gladly pick out parts for you. Character descriptions below Warrior in general Warriors tend to have good damage, not so fast, but this can be fixed with speed equips. Spearman use spears or polearms, whereas the other warrior counterparts can use swords/axes(fighter) or swords/blunt weapons(pages). Spearman are often wanted more into parties because of hyperbody(nickname:HB) however fighters are also wanted due to their skill 'rage', unfortunatly pages tend to solo more than the others. However, at fourth job all are good at boss runs. All warriors add strength(nickname:Str) and dexterity(nickname:Dex) as their stats, Str is their main stat and Dex is their secondary stat, most people try to keep their Dex as low as possible to maximize damage. Dark knights Berserk. This pretty much sums up the Dark Knight(nickname:DrK), when maxed, get a huge 200% attack boost from this skill, which is the single most power-boosting skill in the game(it literally doubles your damage). There is a catch, however. The catch is that you must keep your HP below the required limit for you to have a power increase. If you use an HP pot and go over your 'Berserk limit' the berserk effect will instantly be negated. At max, Berserk's limit is 50% Especially at lower lvls, it can be very hard to keep your hp at the required percentage to activate berserk. At Lvl. 20, Berserk requires your hp to be at 30% or lower so your hp would need to be at 4.3k or lower, which is considerably easier to manage. As you level up, it will only get easier to train with Berserk activated more so as your character control increases. Another signature move of Dark Knights is their summon, Beholder. This little baby is the only summon of all the Warrior Classes and do simply amazing things for the DrK when maxed for example; At max level Beholder gives a huge +20% mastery, thus making your attacks more stable. Two others effects for Beholder is 1)Beholders heal and 2)Beholders hex, Beholders heal basically heals you whilst Beholder is activated, it will NOT heal you over your berserk limit however, unless you are over your berserk limit, then it will heal you to max hp. Beholder' hex basically gives you varied buffs depending on the skill level, at max it gives you an increase in; Wep def, mag def, acc, avoid and attack to name them. However, using berserk at a low level is not a good thing at bosses, so until it's maxed/you can control it well, you will do the least damage at bosses out of the 3 warrior classes. Hero's Just like Paladins, heroes finally are able to ditch powerstrike and slashblast with a new move. Brandish is a fast and powerful at

This very througholy points out some of the main points between Xbow and Bow. Its not perfect but it gives a good amount of detail. Being stereotypical is not always a bad thing! Its just how it turns out. These play styles are general styles that the respective classes often observe because of their given skills. Ultimately, its up to a player to choose the style, and both Rangers and Snipers can easily imitate each others styles, but the stereotypical ones are the kinds that optimize training in most maps. This section is split into the 4 subclasses, Hunter, Crossbowman, Ranger, and Sniper, because 2nd and 3rd job styles also differ slightly. Hunter Style Hunters get the early gift of Arrow Bomb. Most of the time they will be using their primary attack from First Job, however anytime a clustered mob of 3+ monsters appear, whether its right in front of them or diagonally above or below them, Bomb will usually take priority over the main attack. This is easily shown on maps like Coolies, on top platforms and maps like Squids on the bottom floors, where the monsters usually cluster together. On smaller mobs, a single attack skill is traditionally used to compensate for Bomb's low impact damage. Crossbowman Style A Crossbowman is gifted with high damage early on, and a high damaging skill to boot. Unlike a Hunter, a Crossbowman's mob skill maximizes its damage over time at 3-4 enemies, thus smaller mobs are typically made. Instead of killing every monster but a few, to create a large mob, a Crossbowman may kill 6/10 platforms, so a small mob gathers on each of the remaining. Also, Crossbowmen tend to shy away from freeform mobs, ones that are difficult to knock back. If a mob isn't knocked back enough, the enemies will begin to advance towards the Crossbowman, giving little room to shoot. Things like Golems are a prime example of this. Without a proper knockback, FoG becomes almost impossible because the Crossbowman will constantly be PKBing, trying to get out of the mobs that are aggrovated towards them. Smaller mobs, like in Cloud Park, are highly inviting towards Crossbowmen. Ranger Style Early in Rangers careers, they use Inferno as a lure, mainly as a set up for Puppet, or in some maps to gather a mob. Because Rangers lack Blizzard, they have pickup on their side. Rangers use Puppet more often to train conservatively or speed up killing when soloing. As Inferno becomes a more reliable damager, Arrow Bomb is used less and less, as the clean KB rate is, in most cases, more effective in protecting the Ranger than Arrow Bomb. However, on monsters that cast defensive buffs, Arrow Bomb is preferred, as it negates the casting of buffs and still deals high damage. Hawk is used for the ability to kill one or two monsters quickly without having to setup Puppet. Hawk can also used as an auto immobilizer as it possesses the ability to stun. Sniper Style Unlike Rangers, a Snipers play style is drastically changed with the introduction of Blizzard and

Well, this should be easy enough. Long version: The Archer class is primarily based around versatility and distance, while not exceptionally strong in any field, Archers have skills that enable them to do more than just kill monsters, such as Puppet which allows them to change a monster's aggro and Dragon's Breath which allows them to push monsters to the end of their range. They also boast extremely high Accuracy, and decent Avoidability. Archers are the only class to gain the ability to perform critical hits in 1st job, as well as the ability to raise their Accuracy and Avoid with Focus. The Archer class is divided into 2 subsets, one uses Bows, the other uses Crossbows. Until fourth job, both classes are extremely similar, the only difference being that Crossbowmen fire slightly strong shots, and Bowmen fire slightly faster shots. As far as skills, the differences aside from aesthetics are small as most skills are animated differently but give the same effect. Crossbowmen in 2nd job get Iron Arrow, which travels through a straight line and cuts through mobs, while Hunters get Arrow Bomb, which explodes on impact with a monster. For a small MP cost, both classes eliminate the need for carrying arrows by using Soul Arrow. They also both get Power Knockback, a melee skill with a 70% chance to push monsters away. In 3rd, both classes get Mortal Blow, a skill that allows them to fire one very powerful shot when monsters get too close for them to use regular distanced skills. They also get Strafe, which fires 4 arrows simultaneously. Both classes have a close ranged mob attack, either Arrow Rain for Rangers (Bow) and Arrow Eruption for Snipers (Crossbow). Rangers also get Inferno, a high damaging distance mob attack with a fire element, and Silver Hawk, a summon which passively stuns monsters at the cost of a summoning rock. Snipers on the other hand use Blizzard, a low damage ice attack that lacks critical hits but freezes monsters in their tracks and Golden Eagle, which performs the exact same purpose as Silver Hawk. During fourth job, both are widely accepted into bossing parties because they have Sharp Eyes, a party skill that gives every class a chance to perform critical hits, and greatly enhances any class's current critical hit potential. In fourth job, Bowmasters (Abbreviated as BM) are given Hurricane, one of the fastest firing attacks in the game, making them extremely efficient bossers as well as trainers. This allows them to pin almost any single monster, and makes them invaluable at bosses. Aside from Hurricane, Bowmasters are given the ability to summon a high damage fire elemental bird Phoenix, the ability to simultaneously raise their damage and cut their MP cost with Concentrate, and the ability to slow down monsters with Hamstring. The main downside to Bowmasters is their inability to effectively kill large mobs, and their naturally low HP. Marksmen (Abbreviated as MM) on the other hand expand on their slow speed, and are given tw
