I'd give him somehing to help him along the way (considering that he's gonna put 1st point into blizzard), maybe something liek a crapload of expensive pots?

Give him Blizzard 20 or Chain Lightning 20 (or 30 of each if you can afford it), or Maple Warrior 20. All good skill books for early AM.
