What am I doing wrong? (Pokemon)

So I am EV training my Rhyhorn and I am battling Shinx for attack. Whenever I level up, I only get +2-4 attack, and I am also holding a power bracer. What am I doing wrong?

Get some Power Items instead of the Macho Brace. There is the Box Trick too if you didn't know. Where you put the pokemon in storage and whatever EV's it had gets "implemented" right away, instead of waiting for it to level. You might of been doing that but I don't know. And every 4 EV's do amount to 1 stat point, so each Shinx is giving off 2 Attack points, using the Macho Brace can get real tiring. I don't know where I was going with this...

You probably are doing it right but the attack wont all show up like +8 +7 or stuff like that, itll show once you get to 100 that you did do it right, i thought the same thing but a friend explained it to me so dont worry.

Maybe I'm wrong, but why do so many people think they have to get to level 100 for a poke to show all its EV's. I mean the way I EV train, they're usually EV trained by around the mid 30's or less even depending on what EV's I'm training it in.

I don't think the other EV items are better than the Macho Brace. But I'm not too worried if they are cause I have Pokerus!
