I posted this on Chat but got no responses .. so .. 1- [DELL] Model XPS 1530 / processor Core 2 Duo T9300 / Processor speed 2.5 Ghz / System Memory 4GB / Hard Drive 320GB 2- [SONY VAIO] Model CS26 / processor Core 2 Duo P8600 / Processor speed 2.4 GHz / System Memory 3GB / Hard Drive 320GB 3- [TOSHIBA] Model U400-R / processor Core 2 Duo/ Processor speed 2.0 GHz / System Memory 3GB / Hard Drive 320GB Help Please... I'm leaning towards option 1

With only those specs listed I'd go for number one, but there are things like ports, graphics, battery life, screen resolution and size, weight and much more to consider when buying a laptop.

Look into a Sager Notebook. Before Alienware had their own laptop division, an Alienware laptop was basically a Sager Notebook with the Alienware logo slapped on. They have great affordable prices for good, quality machines. What is the laptop for? Gaming? College/Business? Consider the screen sizes, larger screens for gaming and smaller screens for portability. 15" is a good screen size for gaming and is still easier to lug around than a 17" or 20". However, smaller machines could be used for gaming but lack efficient cooling systems to support it. Also, consider cooling systems, as more efficient cooling extends laptop life. About the graphics card, many times you think that you are getting a great deal for a pc/laptop when it turns out that the system is lacking a decent graphics card in order for the companies to cut costs and offer you "cheaper" prices.

4 - None. I agree with Jengeez, Sager noteboooks ( built on Clevo ) are much better quality for the money. The D901C and the D900F have the most superior cooling of ANY notebook, as many Clevo notebooks do. As for Alienware, they dont even make their own Chassis, which means alienware.com isnt the only place you can get one. For example, the M17 is built on the Arima W840, which can be had at several boutique sellers.

link Thats a pretty good laptop, and costs the same as the one you posted.
