If we were to spend excessive amounts of time in water, without drying ourselves off completely, our body would inter-disintegrate. So you are all asking yourselfs, What is this freak talking about? As I stared at my tea bag in my water, I noticed that the longer the bag was in the water, the more of the taste the tea bag lost. So in a bigger picture, that tea bag is us. As we stay in water, our body heat lessens, and we start to become colder. Common sense, no? Well lets blast this even further. As I kept the tea bag in teh water, without taking it out within servings, the taste began to wear off. Looking at the tea bag now, the little prickles and parts of the tea leaf that were whole and still kept form while in the bag are now mushy and mash potato-like. Lets look at it this way. Our skin is the paper that keeps the tea leafs inside. The tea leafs are our "inside organs", tissues, etc. Our skin is semi-permeable(Allowing passage of certain, especially small, molecules or ions but acting as a barrier to others). Meaning it lets small molecules inside, but keeps other unwanted things outside. So you can't just get a bug and smush it against your hand and say, "GO INSIDE!" Your skin lets REALLY SMALL things go inside your body. It does this by the use of pores, glands, etc. So what does this have to deal with the tea and your body breaking down? I noticed as the tea bag lets water in, the tea leaves began to break down, and would soon become mushy. This means that as we spend excessive amounts of time within water, our body would slowly and microscopically tear and "mush" as water is going inside, and breaking apart our tissues, etc. You guys might add in proffessional athletes who swim daily(Michael Phelps) as a rebuttal to my arguement. As the answer to this, I am not sure. I do not know him 100%. I cannot make any accusations. But I do know that this is only a hypothesis.

I don't think anyone stays in the bathtub 24 hrs a day. Which is why this may be already known by scientists, just not big info because it's not important.

Skin is designed to keep water and stuff out, unlike teabags, which are designed to let stuff in.

Isn't this similar to the idea that if you drink to much water, you'll disrupt the amount of electrolytes in the cells, and eventually the cells will burst causing you to die? :O

Paper of tea bag: non-organic matter Skin: organic matter our skin is resilient and can change due to its being organic Tea bags cannot. In addition to this, the comparison you used is not proportional. What you hypotheically said was not proportional. The tea leaves and bags aren't rationally the same compared to body organs and skin. Sorry, your theory isn't quite possible. The only way it would be reletively possible would be if the person was in acid instead of water.
