I have been having trouble with getting maplestory started. i click the shortcut and it says cannot find or something then it said restart computer to try again. so i did and it still didn't work. when i clicked it that time it popped up a message saying if it didn't work then delete maplestory and redownload it. so i went to nexon.net and went to ms download. i clicked it. then it popped up with run or cancel. i clicked run and it said "error reading configuration file" i tried over and over and it isn't working. SOMEBODY PLZ HELP ME!

go to your nexon folder, delte the maplestory icon you already have, drag the maplestory icon out of ur nexon folder onto your desktop, use that one. EDIT: werent u a black boy a second ago?

Go to my computer, local disk, nexon, maplestory, click maplestory.exe. It should work.

OMG IT STILL WON"T WORK! i did that and it still doesnt work. when i click on it says " please wait while window configueres maplestory" (something like that) then it fails then it says "click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the instalation package 'MapleStory.mi' in the box below. and i have no idea what the path is or anything. T.T

T.T" You're doing it wrong. Go to My Computer, then to C:, then to the Nexon folder, then MapleStory folder, than double-click on the application Maple Story.

You are not alone with the problums i still have HackShield Error 66817 and ive done everything nexon told me. AhnReport also told me to do so much. Followed some of the SW and Basil peoples steps to fix it but still i can only stay on maplestory for 30s-1min then I d/c. Ive re-downloaded maple deleted many programs I no longer use. Still nothing... if anyone can tell me how they fixed there problum I would love to hear how and try it. And good luck to you with your problum.
