Error: Cannot connect to Server

Wow.... after this patch I can no longer play Maple.... Whenever it gets to the HackShield it loads two bars and then says Error: really long number starting with 8 Can't Connect to Server. I have tried redownloading the game, redownloading after uninstalling Maple, redownloading after deleting anything with the word maple or gameguard on my computer, manual patching, checking the "Work Offline" thing on IE, Changing the Compatability to a lower setting for HS and Maple Story, looking at every thread about this topic on Basil, and screaming at my computer. So far I haven't been able to do fix this error and its making me sad....and bored.... If anybody fixes this I will be INCREDIBLY overjoyed. Don't post anything whihc I have already said Ive tried above. Thanks a ton ahead of time. =)

Most of the time when the error says it can't connect to the server, it means there is a firewall blocking it. If you are on a school network, the school may have blocked it.

Check all things you may have changed durring the course of events that lead to this happening, Maybe something is screwing it up .. like a firewall, or a missing component.
