Is there a fix to this odd lag?

I have been playing normally the past few weeks. And after I reached level 30 I decided to CPQ like any other mapler, but each time I get to CH 1 CPQ place I lag a ton. I lag there only, because I tried FM and its lagless and yet it has more people o____o I tried WinSOCK, and its still useless. May you guys help me fix this because Im having a hard time PQUING .____. Its not easy to CPQ being level 30 and lagging your ass out at ch 1 ;__;! Computer specs: Intel[r] Pentium[R] 4CPU 3.00GHZ 3.00 GHz, 2.5GB of ram.
