Fairly simple, I've been robbed, 3 times! Now I wonder, is it legal in the state of Massachusetts, to purposely assault and possibly kill someone who breaks into your house, and steals your possession?

No killing. Manslaughter is always a no-no. But assaulting them in the most humane way possible (or letting your rabid dog take care of them :P) is fine. They're the one breaking in. If they sue you for assault, sue them even more for attempted break-in and robbery.

Now I wonder, is it legal in the state of Massachusetts, to purposely assault and possibly kill someone who breaks into your house, and steals your possession? The word purposely means you intended on assaulting or hitting the trespasser on your property or house. You would probably be charged for assaulting while the burglar is charged for trespassing and burglary of some sort. If you kill him accidentally as in self defense to protect you and your family, you can always be saying how you needed to protect your family. If you kill him intentionally as in hitting him in the head with a bat several times in the head until his brains splatter on your couch, I'm pretty sure you'll be convicted of murder lol. Possibly life time in jail?
