Maplestory won't run.

okay I go and click on the icon, and something pops up that says "preparing to install" then it says that "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavalible." I am using windows vista.

i've never had this, but did you make sure windows firewall (or other firewall) is allowing it? i'd ask if you were connected to the internet but you're probably using the same computer

yea me too. i use a mac, but i have a window program on my computer, and i'm getting that problem... i don't have firewall on my windows program i don't think and yes i was definitely connected to the internet. i remember a few months back something along this line happened, but i tried everything i did then [except for delete/re-download] and nothing seems to work. has anyone here tried to re-dl it?

you must click on the mssetup shortcut. im pretty sure you have one since you have widows vista. Then it will star t to download. it will give you three options. click repair. then when its done downloading, you can play. it takes like 5 mins to do this.

Yeah, that happened to me as well. What I did was to open MS from my folder, instead of the shortcut. I'm using a Windows 2000XP, I think... I'm not sure if it's the same for every computer, but this is how I opened MS from my folder. I clicked: My Computer>Local Disc (C >Nexon>MapleStory (folder icon)>MapleStory (mushroom icon). Hope that helps. :D

Same thing here, but you have to go to your original Maple Story icon in My Computer. I'm going to try MSSetup, repair and modify, I'll tell you if it works.

Wait, what? I just somehow got GG to load and the old play button. Some of my icons on the bottom right are missing too.
