So I met this person during Freshmen year, we were totally lost, confused, and nervous. It must just be a natural extinct to be afraid of everything on the first day of school, especially if you are a freshmen. My friends introduced me to her over the summer so we wouldn't be straight up loners, since we were totally thrown off balance into a new school which we knew no one at the time. We began talking constantly about guys, clothes, friends, everything in general. Pulling all nighters, going out, you name it and we have done it (over exaggeration) Eventually we called each other best friends, and freshmen year was chill all the way to the end. Sophomore year has begun and we made ton of new friends. Of course we are still best friend, but I noticed how we are starting to departure. Even though we hung out with the same area and group of people, there was obviously cliques inside our group of friends, and we started hanging out with different people. Since then until this day we stopped telling each other the "hottest gossip" or expressing our feelings to each other as good friends should be doing. I rarely talk to her in third period, because I am either with someone else or I am sleeping. At lunch, she is with some other guy now, and it seems as if they are a couple. Which I am not aware of, until the past few weeks. And she seems to chill with this one girl a lot, which I am not very fond off. We stopped talking, and I think I have lost a best friend. What should I do? "Confronting" her would obviously make things more awkward, even if we are or were best friends. Telling this to Basilmarket is much easier then asking a friend in real life, because I wouldn't be so quickly judged. I don't know any of you in real life, so regardless off any negative comments you say, it wouldn't make a difference.

Just let her be. Hang with other people. No use badgering her about the other friends she makes

I would, if I was in that position, talk to her about it. Defiantly.

If you care that much tell her. The worst thing that can happen to you is losing someone you really care about. You dont have to confront her directly like "why do you talk to her or anything" but just call her one night, and joke about.. Hey wassup seems like its been forever since we last spoke... and so on.

You should go up to her and tell her what you're feeling.... If she ignores you...Is she really a friend?

Same thing happened to me we started hanging out with different people within our group. Things were never the same really. I tried talking to her again but it was awkward and nothing to say so we just stopped hanging out. Sorry I have no advice. ._.
