bootcamp and hackshield?

ok well today after dling hackshield I have been getting wierd occurences. In hene pq my enter key will make the game into windowed mode and I wont be able to type, and the esc key will minimize maple all together. Later when i was trainign my typing just stopped working and i couldn't type any messages. This is very odd....I wonder if it is because i am using bootcamp. I just dont want to get banned when maple goes into windowed mode by itself and a gm thinks im hacking....

It seems as if your Alt key is jammed o_O but others seem to have this problem? so maybe not

hmm my alt key seems to work fine but maybe i will stop using it. time to find a new jump key

You pressed a sequence of keys that conflicts with Windows' preset key sequence for activating tools such as an on-screen keyboard, narrator, etcetc. Try switching the keys for your set up in Maplestory to something else.

Happens to me sometimes too, even before Hackshield. I just restart Maple or, if that doesn't fix it, restart Windows.

alt is not good for jumping i remember when i used to play i was jumping and i wanted to f4.....

You press ALT CTRL DELETE when it happens. Fixes it for me

Windowed mode is an integrated feature within the game now; meaning it is part of the game. It is perfectly fine to use windowed mode, as long as it's the built in windowed mode. Before, people would use a 3rd party program (A program not made by Nexon/Wizet) to make MS windowed. That was considered hacking, since it was altering MapleStory's game play, using a program not affiliated with Nexon/Wizet. Using windowed mode is perfectly safe. Hot key to switch between windowed and full is Alt+Enter, which may explain what happened.

ok so ya i use alt as jump but im way 2 used 2 it 2 switch now...so heres what i get when i hit alt for jumping then hit enter 2 type i get windowed so you really have 2 be careful with the windowed mode like they said alt isnt good LOL my freind uses space bar

I have the exact same problem as you TC, and I don't even use Boot Camp. I use a PC with Windows XP. Sometimes the ESC key will minimize maple rather than bring up the menu and I won't be able to type for two or three minutes, though I can still use skills fine and press the up key in the chat box and repeat my last message fine. In addition to this, many programs no longer work at all or properly with maple. Firefox will get black boxes around it if you tab out of MS and Xfire will not allow you to chat in game at all in Maple anymore. Hackshield just plain sucks. I'm all for increased security (though I doubt it'll stop hackers at all.... if anything there will probably be even more hackers) but it shouldn't come at the cost of the user in the form of making the game such a hassle to get working properly.
