Simply put, I've always wondered why? I always believed that the ganja really hurt no one State your opinion... ++ BONUS++ As a fun kinda thing, describe how YOU fell when you're high. For me... at first I kind of get a tired kind of sensation. I see every layer and my vision is kind of heightened... it's kind of like watching HDTV, where the layers to each visuals are really clear. Whenever I eat something, my mouth chews automatically... it's really awesome... you just gnaw food without thinking of anything. Lights are reallly brighttt!

Lol go to california. Marijuana substitutes are legal there. I think even the real stuff is legal to. Though the state law conflicts with the federal law that weed is illegal.

It is proven that marijuana is less harmful than both smoking and alcohol. There were hundreds of thousands of cases of people dieing because of smoking, but there are, literally, 2 reported cases of anyone dieing of marijuana overdose. There is NO proven link between marijuana use and lung cancer. It is illegal, because the government doesn't want it to be, regardless what the people think.

It's illegal because it disorients, messes with your memory, causes loss of endorphins (those make you happy!), it messes with the nervous system etcetera etcetera, and it's just stupid <3 Anyone who want's to legalize, I can only wonder what kind of _______ up brain you have, and how stupid you have to be to want to introduce another major drug into America where we already have alcoholics and cigarette smokers who smoke packs a day, you're just stupid to introduce that. While marijuana may give economic benefits, is it really worth it to ______ up America more? And don't forget, from there that leads into other things. Why mess up America more then it already is? Edit: It's also something called The Slippery Slope. Once you start legalizing what is widely seen as a huge drug, what's to stop people from pushing for more, and more? Editedit: As a medical drug, I consider it fine, it's obviously helping people, but when you just legalize it, and everyone uses it, human stupidity begins to take over, and you guys talk high about how people will not abuse it, how there will be substance control, but if you legalize it, you'll see things get ambiguous, moral and ethical questions raised, and new deaths attributed to marijuana.

Doesnt endorphins activate when you push yourself to the limit and it would let you feel relaxed and be able to do more? I unno maybe thats the athletic side. But yea id rather see people smoking weed than people smoking cigs and causing themselves to lose a day of their lifespan.

I've gotten high twice. Legalizing it would be cool but then it would smell like weed everywhere. when I got high I was super duper happy.

I don't smoke or drink myself, but I find it funny how alcohol is illegal and marijuana isn't, when alcohol is by far more harmful.

My teacher was saying, if they ever legalize it, they'll never allow it in public, so you'll still be "hiding" while smoking it...

Well considering that about 25 million people in the United States use marijuana annually, and that there are substantially lower numbers of people who use hard drugs, I'd say that it's pretty easy for a lot of people to stay content with pot. Marijuana isn't a gateway drug. The reason that people think that it is, is because of its availability. It's extremely easy to obtain, and because of that, it's often someone's first experience with drugs. Those who are going to become addicts later in life will almost assuredly start with marijuana at a relatively young age, because middle school kids tend to sell that over heroin.
