K. I curently have a lv 40 gs and his str is 40. I have been reading guides and all of them say ur str= ur lv. So here is my question if you're only putting one point into str each time u lv what is the point of caping it. Cause realy all ur missing is 1 point in dex which can easily be recovered with equips. So what's the point?

You can always improve your damage more. You want to maximize the total amount of dex you have so you do more damage. This means keeping your STR just barely high enough to hold your gun. base STR = level - str from gear.

you are missing 1 point EVERY level, 106lvls=106wasted AP EDIT: this is if you are using dragon fire revolver as your end game weapon

What they said. It adds up. Sure it's not a lot at first, but once your lvl 60, that's 60 ap you could of had in dex. STR doesn't really help a gslingers damage by much. Most gslingers I have seen have capped their str around 70 and gotten the rest of the str for their last weapons from equips.

Honestly, I dont see a big difference with strless/low str compared to reg str gunslinger. I myself have 88 str only which is about normal str and i do very good dmg.Ofcourse though I am well funded.

The reason why they cap STR is the possibility of adding STR equips. Im lvl 89 with 60 base STR and im keepng it that low because i have yet to get a zhelm

Equips you get STR you can also get DEX. Unless you get them both ie. Zhelm and Pendants.

I'm actually kind of shifty on this too, I mean the required STR is equivalent to your level so if you get STR equips, you're losing out on DEX equips, but you have an equal amount of AP left over to recover that lost DEX, so in a sense, wouldn't being low str with str equips to have just enough to wear your equips be exactly the same as adding the regular amount of str you need and getting only DEX equips? (excluding pendants, Zhelms, and those not-so-average items that add points to all four base stats)

In this case, I believe they are the exact same thing. If you are reg str, you get dex equips, and if you are low str, you get str equips. I personally think going reg str is easier, as dex equips are cheaper, and more readily available (because of other classes). I personally think I will cap at 80 or 90 str,depending on what end-game weapon i want. That allows me to wear Concerto or Dragonfire Revolver, if I get a Zhelm and Deo Star/MoN. The rest will either be dex or att equips.

JUST ONE POINT IN DEX EVERY LVL? JUST? that is a lot. and instead of scrolling ur equips to get the dex back u can scroll ur equips and ur by capping ur str.
