Most overated guitarist in the history of music?

Who do you consider to be an extremely overated guitarist? Ones that are blown up yb the media/video games to be made out to be some kind of god? Here is my personal list: Synyster Gates/Brain Haner Jr. : Ok Kiddies seriously, he isn't that great. The afterlife solo is generic shredding and thats all people give him credit for. Jimi Hendrix - Ok I know. He is amazing. He is one of my favourites but he DEFINITLY not the most technically talented guitarist even if he was innovative beyond imagination. Slash/Saul Hudson - GH3. Thats all I will say.

Jimi Hendrix is not overrated. Technique does not make the guitarist; making unbelievable music does, which he did.

I don't agree with Hendrix. Technical ability isn't solely what you need to a be a great guitarist. We don't need more Yngwie Malmsteens'. Hendrix not only "lives up" to hype, he surpassed it. Slash is also a horrible guitarist.
