Max Nimble Body ?

Regular build thief will have excessive accuracy at later stage. So I am thinking instead of max Nimble Body, we may max other skill such as Dark Sight, which will be more useful at later stage. Does it make sense? It happened several times to my thief that he got ohko by high level monster when he just entered a portal, so it is safe to keep dark sight on. But dark sight really slow speed down and haste does not work with dark sight. So max dark sight will really benefit.

I'm assuming you are making a Bandit and not a Sin because you only say theif. Keeping that in mind, haste works with Dark Sight when it is maxed, you can also be hasted after going into DS by someone else. Nimble Body also gives avoid which is something to think about, not just the accuracy. You may also find that durning 2nd job you may not want one of the skills that much (like Steal) and some of the those points can go into DS or a different 1st job skill. Your idea does have merit to it. You should build how you think is best, after all it is your character.

If you are a bandit, and follows the regular build, then you should have both Nimble Body and Dark Sight maxed before 3rd job.

Go with your style, but to be truthful, if you die 1H by monsters, you shouldn't hang out there. You won't have problem moving around if you CPQ and LMPQ, even if you grind, like at voodoo/hoodoo's, that extra acc will benefit you more than DS. As a dit; if you are, that avoid will be a great benefit.

The extra acc/avoid gained from nimble body is quite small compared to the traveling advantages dark sight provides. You're going to be able to have both nimble body and dark sight maxed by the end of 2nd job if you're a bandit, 3rd job if you're a hermit without sacrificing any valuable SP into skills that you need.

So maybe it only works if ds is maxed.

Anyways, you can't use Haste while in Dark Sight, what it means is that using Dark Sight after Haste won't cancel the speed boost if you have Dark Sight maxed.

I meant my haste was at lvl 20, ds is lvl 10.
