I know my Basil ID says level 69 brawler, but I'm really a 69 slinger going to be outlaw tomorrow, some reason I cant change to gunslinger. Anyways, I would like a detailed explanation on how to dismount effectively on bosses, so I won't change my DPM dramatically. Thanks.

Pay attention to attack animations on bosses. Most bosses make it extremely obvious what they are about to do. For example, when an enormous sparkly white circle appears in front of Pap, you know he's going to 1/1 and turtle, so you should dismount and get ready to pot. When a purple swirling vortex appears in front of him, he's about to summon, so dismount, hold Rapid Fire, and look for where the bombs spawn so you can quickly get rid of them before mounting again. The same concept applies to Zakum and Pianus. Fight them a few times, or watch a video or two, and you'll have their attacks memorized. When training, you just have to predict it. Jr Newties also do a short breath in animation before blasting you, so you can usually dodge those if you react fast enough. Skelegons won't attack until they're within a certain range of you, so you can dismount just about when they get in range and try to avoid the attack completely if possible.

Did you think it was hard to pull off at first?

You have to do it, then you learn it.

You have 51+ levels to go, i wouldn't worry so much

Also, if you're expecting an attack, demount, even if you aren't sure if the monster will attack. Better safe then sorry.

razruTakes a lil practice. Continue to go to boss runs or train on the same monster and get to know their attack animations so that you can get the hang of dismounting.
