First, go out and buy the RAM (1gb is good, 2 is better, I think you should get 2.) At above: Use common sense. If he has 512MB of ram he obviously has XP. Vista would not come with less then 1 gig. OS=Operating System Tower is your Computer. Ram would cost maybe about $15 dollars. Also make sure the RAM is compatible with your MOBO and computer. |

Laptops and Desktops have different Ram. Only thing is your computer is kind of old so it really would depend on the amount of pins on your ram stick. |
