why do people always master ice

why do people always master the ice atk first when they get to the first i/l job and why not lightning. DISCUSS!

not EVERYONE maxed ice once they get to 2nd job, i went with lightning because i wanted to mob in cpq, but it didn't turn out the way i wanted it to because i noticed when u cast lightning on CPQ monsters, it does half damage than you would normally do, but o well, now that that is over, i recommend getting ice 1st.

i maxed lightning because it can mob and it gets more dmg per minute

@triadmage The reason you didn't do as much dmg on the CPQ monsters as normaly is because CPQ monster have a higher defence then normal monsters. Also when I CPQed I just mobed monsters and had other ppl kill them and we almost always won this way. OnTopic: I maxed Light first at a time when ppl were saying to max Ice first and I don't regret it. It was much faster than Ice first although I didn't make as much money. People max ice first either because they like it better or because they want to save money.

Ok but, when i cast magic claw, the damage on CPQ monsters and regular monsters are similar, but when i cast lightning, it does half, i would do about 350s-450s on CPQ monsters but 700s-900s on regular monsters, even if it did have high defense it shouldnt cut it down that much wouldn't it? So my theory is that Nexon made CPQ monsters strong against lightning, am i wrong?
