people at school are just now realizing what 'lol' or '<3' mean. You could be walking past some lockers and some random kid would shout out "ROFL!" Gamers like us have known these abbreviations for ages. I've known what 'lol' meant since I was 7, and I'm 15 now. (I played Runescape at 7) edit: Also, this might be self centered but when I was about 10,' i wud type lik dis.' However, when I'm playing a game or going on a forum I've found the people who type with actual grammar are more mature and pro-er than the people who type 'lik dis'. Whenever I'm texting someone, I use correct grammar still even though it's somewhat harder. After I send the message, my friend gives me a hard time for not typing like a 10 year old. AND THEN SOMEHOW, I TURN INTO A NERD. /ENDRANT.

This happened at my school a while ago, but instead of 'lol' or '<3' they found the word 'pwn't' or 'owned' and I had no idea they knew what that meant. x__x
