How do mages fight bosses with dispell + stun

Hi, A friend has a lvl 98 mage. I'm wondering if it's possible for her to fight a boss like Pap who has dispell plus stun without relying on luck that she won't get hit while stunned and dispelled? She has 1.2k hp only. Thanks for the replies

It's rather difficult in the lower levels, but as you go on, it gets much easier. I'm not really experienced with mages, but on my bishop, I just spammed Angel Ray and made sure to keep as far away as pap as possible. As for the bombs, I just used genesis to break them. I'm pretty sure pap isn't not capable of stunning you long enough to use dispel and his bomb summoning spell, so I don't think that's a factor anyways. In addition, if you stay far away from him, he can't stun/dispel you. Just pray when he corners you he doesn't stun +dispel. Haha. As for bosses like Griffey/Manon, I have no idea, haha. When she becomes an AM, though, she can probably just stay a distance and spam blizz, I guess. x]

lol I've been to pap only a handful of times , but like Pathological did , I mostly stayed quite far back and did a lot of telecasting. I do APQ a lot though , and I got most of my practice there x] .. although the boss doesn't stun , from memory lol.

eh yeah...rarely does pap stun and dispel immediately one after the other

I've experienced quite some pap runs, and just tell her not to worry about that. The chances she both get stunned and dispelled are maybe 1/500 (rough estimation), or even less. Just let her focus on his dispell, with her hp she has to recast MG right away since she wont be able to take hits without it. As for Manon and Griffey, my tactic is to just keep taking hits from his body. That way they wont be able to dispell or 1/1 u. May be a risky tactic, but it works quite good when u get experienced doing it.

Last time when I used my tactic to solo a Manon ( Last minute HT), I died like two times. Ahaha.

GL trying that ;D Its not easy in the first place, normally u try to get hit as less as possible, while u want to get hit constantly with this tactic. As for quoting, u can use the "+" on top right of the post and press "quote". For other commands, u can check this useful thread ^^

when i stand in the body, don't i have to pot after every or every 2nd hit i get? :o Isn't this tactic only good for persons with auto-pot? And i know mages don't have a that great range, but isn't there a point between "get hit by the mob" and "don't hit the mob with your attacks"? So you can kb it in a corner and stand away and easily spam your 1on1 skill?

Bosses like Pap can still attack you even when KB'd. (I probably read what you said wrong..) In addition, I doubt a 10x- can efficiently KB pap/manon/griffey. o.o'

So you can kb it in a corner and stand away and easily spam your 1on1 skill?" Well, i do it w/o auto pot, but kinda depends on ur level (hp and mp). i can take about 3 hits before using a ginger. According to ur tactic, i think Manon and Griffey have more range, or atleast equal. But since the maps Manon and Griffey spawn in, always have some blue/red/dark kents, its not easy to do that. I do corner them, but just standing in their body while attacking.

when i was the last time at pap, i got dispelled only one time in the whole run. Was right after the beginning and i thought "omg, after like 5 sec. dispell? Dx I'll die" and then, no dispell xD So it dispells not often
