What's up with Nintendo now?

It's too bad Nintendo is so dull and predictable now. Nothing they make now really stands out like their old stuff did. Not to mention it takes ages for them to release a game which is usually below most people's expectations. Take a look at Zelda, those are usually good for one playthrough, and that's pretty much it for me. There are no higher difficulty settings, nothing special in the second playthrough (cept that lame costume change and camera in Wind Waker.) and you aren't thinking about it after you finish. Switch over to an amazing series, Metal Gear Solid. They have released A TON of games in this series this decade, I can't even name them all. I used to be a Nintendo fan, don't get me wrong. I used to think they were the best of the best, and nobody could top them. Then the Gamecube released. Where's Mario at? Oh wait, hes a janitor. Oh joy. Then Wind Waker. Graphics were awesome, but I hated just spending the majority of the game traveling in that dinghy and collecting map data from fish forever. Now they're shoveling out handheld Zeldas and Twilight Princess. The gameplay was good, but it went by way too fast. Soon after, I was selling my Gamecube with no regrets. Yeah I still go back and play the N64 and SNES, they were amazing systems. All a new Wii game gets from me is "Oh, that's neat." then a few minutes of my attention. Then I'm back to the other games. Their marketing style is just, man does it ever turn me away. They show the PEOPLE playing the games more than the actual games they're trying to advertise! I don't give a damn if some blond chick from Food Network or whatever is playing Professor Layton, or if another age 30 something woman is playing Animal Crossing with her BFF. I want to see GAMEPLAY, that's what sells a game to me. GAMEPLAY. Who buys a game because someone they've seen on TV is playing it? I want the old Nintendo back. Back in those days, challenge sold a game. It kept me coming back for more. And games weren't recycled to look new. You mention a title back then, I remember specific moments, and parts that frustrated me because they were so hard. Bring up a game like Twilight Princess, and I instantly think Wolf (Seriously, those wolf parts were horrible.) and low difficulty. Does anyone else think the way I do about Nintendo? I WANT to like them, but it's just hard to since they don't really sell to people like me anymore. Flame me all you want, but I'm standing by my opinion. I can't believe I forgot Pokemon. The ONE game they have barely changed since the original. I'm sure some of you have seen my type this before, but I want something new. The same old moving pictures is really worn out. Every single Pokemon game is more predictable than the one before it. I shouldn't have to explain it, everyone knows the order of every Pokemon. You would think they would release a live action Pokemon game, Full 3D environments, like Zelda. Full control of the Pokemon you release, with each skill on a button. It can pla

The only reason they're being predictable is because technology is becoming more advanced. They need to think outside of the box and actually produce things that people will still be playing 5-10 years from now.

Yea same here, I don't like how the Wii focuses on little kids. Look at what they did to SSBM just to make it a "party" game. And they have like Dora the Explorer game? But the Gamecube was great, and so was everything before the Gamecube.

its all about preference, i hate FPS, and i love platformers, thats why nintendo is the best for me, and personally im able to go through the ocarina of time several times, and still am going and im not bored
