ActiveX in a unsafe manner?

when i go on basil i keep getting this message every time i go on a different topic or auction or w.e " Internet Explorer has blocked this site from using ActiveX control in a unsafe manner. As a result, this page may not display correctly." what does that mean?

Nothing. Download firefox; Basil doesn't use ActiveX.

Internet Explorer isn't a very secure browser. You should switch.

Firefox doesn't work off of activeX (which a lot of pop ups and trojans do) all in all firefox works faster as well

Plus with Firefox you can set up the browser to use most of your internet speed :D
