| I see so many threads about this, and i'm pretty fed up about it. Heres a little guide on making it so you can play maple on a flash drive. You will need at least a 2GB flash drive for this to work. They are about 7 USD, but get a size that will fit all your maple folders, and probably some room for screen shots in case you accidently take one and it wont freeze your game. You can get a 8GB drive for 15-25 USD. Why? First, if your doing this to play in a library or in school, leave this thread, because those computers are too slow to handle, and the network admins are likely to kick you off when they realize that maple is on their server running. Dragging and Dropping First step, open two folders, one with your flash drive open (Drive E: or F:, most likely. If you have virtual drives, it could be G:, H:, I:, J:, K:, etc.), and the other where you INSTALLED MAPLESTORY. Do not open that folder. Now. This method is probably the easiest, drag and drop that folder where all your maple stuff is into your removeable disk. Not your Nexon folder, your Maple folder. If your maple is installed in your nexon folder, drag that in, but make sure there are no other games in that folder. Generally, your maple folder will have files that end in .wz, and will have the patcher and setup in it. You'll also have a Gameguard folder in there, which is required. Drag all that in, safely remove your portable drive, and your done. Playing through Drag-And-Drop Simply plug in your flash drive, bring it up (like i said, drives E: through K:, or more, depending on the computer your playing on) and execute Maplestory.exe. Your now playing maple. Direct Installation This method is the most effective, but less practical. You download the installer for maple and put it on the flash drive, and execute the installer from your flash drive on the computer you want to play on. You need admin privileges for this. Then follow the process like you would on your own computer. Problems and Solutions My maple wont run when i use drag and drop! You probably copied the wrong folder, or are missing some files. Try moving your screenshots out of the folder. My maple won't install when i use the installer method! You need administrator privileges for this to work, as in, not a school or library computer, and not a guest account on the computer. It wont let me copy the maple folder over! Try closing anything your using in the folder, for example, if your maple is running, your going to need to close maple before you drag and drop. It gives me an error when i copy! Like i said, try closing ALL open programs. If you still have problems, re-install maple, you probably have a corrupt/hacked .wz file in your folder that somehow got encrypted (if you got it from a hacker website) and it wont let you copy. I forgot to copy over clean .wz files! Your fault. Don't hack. It says theres insufficient space to copy over maple! Get a bigger flash drive.
