Game Guard resetting?

Hey guys, looking for some help. Maple isn't the only game I play that uses Game Guard, and for some reason, apparently GG is running in the background. I can't figure out how to close it, there's no icon on the toolbar, it doesn't appear in the Task Manager (applications/processes). I know I can send some files back to the company for a hopeful resolution, but I don't think that'll help. It's not a necessity to get on, but it'd be nice to get my shop up and stuff. So does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance, Atalantis (Roshambo, 80 Broa CB)

There's a reason you can't turn off gameguard unless you're out of the game.

I know, haha. I haven't been able to start any game that uses gameguard. I don't have any games running currently.
