... will this means that it'll encourage to post their opinions more and contribute (somehow) to the site? Or will it bring spammers/haters/flammers/trollers to another level? Will it even have any advantages or such? Discuss.

People would spam posts just to get post counts. If Basil implemented post counts, Basilers would post way more than they do now, trying to get the most posts. This leads to more mod work for implementing something so little. You could use Vusys's Post Counter for the same effect.

Sleepywood has post counts and look at how much help people get there. Post counts incourage people to post more frequently, but with a below average quality.

Well, who knows. People don't spam the threads (that much) and it'll probably only spam near a high number (millionth number).

Wow you guys reply fast. OT: But using feedback as a requirement to do certain things has it's disadvantages as many of the auctions I've seen is not so good. And what if we made a temp suspend to spam? Like 10 posts in a row. And make post count as a requirement instead for like linking.

It will encourage spamming and such.. but it could raise Basiler activeness as well.. (Which is a plus in my opinion) We're never going to have post counter on BasilMarket.. but you can use the Post Counter by Vusys. It even has a poster list. (Ugh...Poster List is not working again...)
