| Well, after 2-3 years with my girlfriend.. "Something" happened and well.. I feel like I really need to think things out in my head. I guess this is somewhat of a rant/memoir of mine shared with you, Basil. This is being written in real time and I'll try to update it as much as I can. This isn't to grab attention or to troll anyone. It's actually more for myself as, well, I need to vent some stuff out. Either way, enjoy the story. Basically, we met in youth group in.. January? of 8th grade (So this was in 2008). I already knew who she was from school but we never really got a chance to talk. So eventually after a few weeks went by, we got to know each other better and better. I wasn't exactly the outgoing type of kid back then so I wouldn't really talk to her outside of Youth Group. One day, she looked glum so I asked her what was wrong.. simple enough right? Well this other guy we knew as joking around before and jokingly spoke about his "20 girlfriends" and she liked him, and was kinda down about it. After another month or two, we started talking on AIM and got pretty close. I started having feelings for her, strong feelings that would stir up whenever I saw her face.. It got really awkward whenever I was around her because well, even though we'd grown tight, I got really shy whenever we were together. "Hey, come with me to get my coat" Little did I know, these words would lead me to one of the happiest moments in my life. We were hanging out in the basement of one of our friends house and she had to leave soon. I followed her up the stairs leading right in front of the kitchen. After grabbing her coat for her, I held it out for her to grab. I held it out for at least 10-20 seconds before I said.. "Hey.. You okay?" She looked me in the eyes and nodded.. slowly, she reached for the jacket.. until she finally grabbed me and pulled me tight. She hugged me as I stood dazed, wondering what was going on. After 2-3 seconds, I gradually wrapped my arms around her as well and chuckled. All of my nervousness was soon dispelled as I stood there, alone with her. As another month rolled around the corner, it was time to join Spring sports. The previous year, I had planned on joining track. However, I'd been turned off by the promise of running 2-3 miles a day. Track of course, was one of the only Co-Ed sports in our school and who would've known? She was doing track this year. That was the final push over the edge. I'd decided to join track because well, for the most part, I enjoyed running and partly because she was joining it too :P Time passed and eventually, it was the first meet of the season. We arrived at the competitors school and it was a chilly day outside. Cloudy skies hadn't helped the fact that there was a light drizzle as well. Now quite humorously, I had decided to do hurdles and of course on my sideline, my very own cheerleader Let's just say, I got distracted by her cheering and tripped over a hurdle -_- besides that, it was a fun event, we |
