Why do people only want high leveled people in their party?

I mean really, its hard enough to level in pqs (especially LPQ). Heres what happened... Sigh, level 36 but almost lvl 37. While trying to find a party, someone finally invites me. Another person (who is level 35) starts whining that he didn't get the lvl 50 instead of me. Then, shortly after, he expelled me from the party and added the lvl 50. I asked the leader why he kicked me. He didn't say anything but the lvl 35 said "Because we don't want low level nubs like you :3". Honestly...what the hell man?

Well, if you're going into a tower full of crazed toys brought to life by a crack in the time-space continuum, would you rather take the hardened veteran who's going to watch your back and kick ass, or the new guy who's slightly more fun to be with but misses monsters half the time? And seriously, Alishar is HUGE. You'd have to try REALLY HARD to miss that thing. But yeah, the other level 35 was just a jerk. Maple has plenty of those.

Higher level = PROBABLY more experience... PROBABLY stronger... PROBABLY higher rate of success in the pq or boss run. Common sense really.. don't get mad at them.. get mad at yourself for being a lower level than the leaders requirements.. blame yourself for not impressing him or her.

if you take long to kill the mobs at dark rooms or fail in a essential part of the pq, then you can be considerer as a "nub"... level doesnt matter that much if ur doing it well

People think that level means they can finish PQ faster, so more EXP for them. Honestly speaking, that's the exact reason I don't PQ and rather grind all the time. Most of the time those people are wrong: in CPQ a person with nice gear and a level of about 35 can easily defeat 2 level 50s with not-so-nice gear (tested!). Just ignore people that kick you and wait for next party: they're noobs most of the time anyways seeing how they think higher level means more damage. :D It's all about funding.

CPQing until 40 should be easier. But for LPQ, a lot of them are just ignorant noobs. In LPQ, there was a Level 46 (I think) Sin I saw spamming J>PQ. I was a level 38 (I think) Cleric spamming the same thing. I had PQed with the Level 46 before, and he knew nothing on what to do. I had done this about 100 times (I have a lot of characters. :D), so I knew what to do and made the Level 46 seem worthless. A party leader still chose him over me, because apparently he did more damage. They ended up with a team full of Warriors and Thieves, with nobody to do the Mage portal. They failed, but kept on trying. I laughed SO HARD.

Calling a low level a noob might be a bit offensive, but the reasons why one would want higher level characters in their party should be apparent.

Higher levels usually hit more and have more accuracy. They don't care much about your concerns to level up, they just wanna finish the PQ and (maybe) get Broken Glasses.

i think the TS's point is that a level 35 complained about taking him (level 36) over a lvl 50. Then, instead of kicking the lvl 35 out he kicked the TS out which makes no sense at all if the party leader wanted more high levels

Then, instead of kicking the lvl 35 out he kicked the TS out which makes no sense at all if the party leader wanted more high levels [/quote] It makes perfect sense. If the only Mage there is level 35 and the level 50 was not a mage, you kick the next lowest level. That's simple and logical. However I don't agree with kicking ANYONE for a higher level. Experience>Levels. That level 35 is just being a jerk, it's incredibly common in Ludi PQ. Trolls and idiots are incredibly common. But realy, level does'tn ALWAYS mean more experienced, but it usually does. I've farmed 5 pairs of glasses(3 on my Marauder, 2 on my Evan). My DB has Dark Sight and my Spearman is HB first, and they get into parties fairly easily. You simply need to show you're experienced and capable of doing the stages. Trust me, if I knew that level 35 and that he was an asshole/noob, if I was with you, I would've refused to PQ unless the leader kicked him. Idiots can almost never be taught in this PQ >_> |
