Maple downloads INSANELY slow

This is the second time i've tried downloading the ENTIRE Maplestory client (im not trying to update the patch, just an FYI). Anyways... this is the second time i've tried downloading maplestory in about 3 weeks. My internet connection is pretty slow (it takes me like 2minutes to download an 8 MB audio file). But when i try to download maple, it takes around 7-10 minutes to get 1% of the download finished. The amount of data being download is around 2-3KB/s. Is this even normal? cos it's really pissing me off that i can't even download Maple...

No, it is not normal. Unfortunately, there is no other way to get Maple Story working. I suggest using a download client such as FreeDownload Manager or JDownloader so that it can resume downloads if they are broken.

It's just that it takes REALLY long to download. For example, it keeps saying ''Estimated download time: 74hrs'' or something like that.

im afraid that for your internet connection thats perfectly normal. you could buy the CD that nexon sends out (not recommended) or you could download a .zip file of maplestory v.90 then patch that (if you can find a v.91.zip thats even better

i agree with jimmyonishi my internet is also really slow, 10~15kb/s, so i used free download manager. Took me around 32hours to download the full client.

What the- Are you downloading from the new downloader? (Grey one that look like it can play music) Or the white one? (Square and takes forever and a half) It could be your internet/firewall if it's taking 74 hours. @eamono More than likely he's going to get an error of whatever Wz. file.

It usually takes me 2 hours to finish downloading. Is your ISP capping you? If not then try to turn off your firewall or leave Maplestory download without disruptions

You should use a download manager/helper. Otherwise, do a Disk Check, Disk CleanUp, and Disk Defragment. Lightening your computer can get rid of features that could be secretly taking up the internet you have. Overall, try to stay near your router (if you have one). My internet used to run at a languid 25 Kb/s. Now It's running at 400 KB/s.

Deviched : What's an ISP? I left my house for 2hrs today with the download running with firewall turned ON, and when i got home it was only like 14% done. I guess i'll try it tomorrow with firewall OFF :D
