Is strless wild hunter worth it?

after big bang i am going to make a wild hunter, and i know that you can equip the items without strength which is good because i have some really good lvl 35 potentialed pants, but is it worth it without the weapons? i am basically unfunded (i have 20 mil, but thats pretty much reserved for this character) so i think the thing i will go with is the revolution xbow until around 80-90ish when i will get a probably 3rd unwelcome geust xbow. since post big bang strength is not needed except only for equiping the weapons, is it worth it?

yes... bowman should pretty much always go STRless now... they have absolutely NO need for STR... unless you wanna have a 100-120wep well, decide what wep u want for endgame, then make your character... i like dragonfire revolvers, so i endgamed on that

If you did the vistor pq when it was different levels, and stocked up on the (x)bows from there, then you wouldn't need str, at least until you picked your endgame bow (again, if you can't afford a VIP).

[/quote] From the TS himself, he did not ask that. If someone wants to make a character that is completely up to them. They do not need ignorant people to tell them how bad they think they are. The TS wanted to know if strless was worth it, not if the class itself was worth it, because the TS is already going to make the class. I feel like reiterating the last sentence of my other quote... People these days who want to turn everything into an arguement... *shakes head*

Actually, there is no point to archers with STR anymore. We have statless weapons starting from 10 all the way to 127 in decent intervals, and statless equipment as well. I use the term statless to describe something that does not require more than 4 str/dex/int/luk to equip. In terms of funding, that is up to you. It is not very difficult to make meso in the game and should not be an excuse not to go strless, seeing as how you will most likely end up as such anyways. So as the multitude of people above me may have said, just be patient and go Strless.

It's good to be strless, just make sure you have everything necessary. Get a VIP X-bow ASAP because you will get to that level quicker than you think.

I'm going strless. I have most of the Xbows from the alien PQ. If I ever get to 127 I'm "stealing" my bro's 156 attack VIP :D Just don't add strength unless you have an xbow you really want, but don't worry too much about adding str either, it's not a huge damage difference.
