How to not spread germs in bathroom

We recently got a cat (yay!) and we decided to put its litterbox in the bathroom so it wouldn't bother anybody, you know how cats will bury their deposits and sometimes that makes the litter fly out the litterbox, which kind of causes problems since sometimes the litter has cat deposits in it and that might be spreading bacteria. Anyways, all of us are sick right now (though not from the cat) and we were just wondering how to disinfect (right word for it?) the bathroom, and how to not spread bathroom germs around the house.

Throw out the deposits regularly. You can also deposit disinfectant spray around the bathroom which can be used when you need it to clean off the germs from the CAT POOPS .
