| Hello basilers. I decided to play maple after a few mounth break, so I logged on for the first time yesterday (haha, got 15k maple points for that) :D. Anyway, the real question is.. my friend is offering me 200 stews for 160m. Since I wasn`t around when the halloween event was going on, I don`t know whether to buy them or not. I also want to know if the price of stews will rise..? Thanks for your time. |

|
jimmyjxia : Buy them NOW... like seriously they're going to rise for sure after the halloween event. Declining supply + rising prices = win After 5 years, you'll be the only guy with witch stews so you can sell them for 50000bil :D (kidding, but you get the point) Above they WILL rise. They aren't like rings where when you have one, you get to keep it forever. Remember that you're dealing with an item that will be gone after you use it. within a matter of time, people will be using witch stews to boss/train/have fun and in the end the supply will decline to a point where the people with the stews can manipulate the price. |
BlazeLeo : 100 atk for 10mins>40 atk for 15mins
Yes, but it's harder to get an onyx apple. Trying to train with them them can be quite expensive. Stews, however, can still make training very easy, and they are a fraction of the price. Your point is valid- I can't realistically see stews getting close to the value of an apple, for the exact reason you pointed out. I'd never spend 20M on 40 atk if I could get 100atk for 1/2 that price (just making up prices here). But, I personally see a market for stews that will gradually increase over time and eventually hit some ceiling at maybe 1/4 - 1/3 the cost of an apple. That makes it cheap enough to, say, fully train a new character from 1 - 100+ for only a handful of millions of mesos. (I just trained a SI mule from 1 - 110 using about 50ish stews. I used the stews for every level from 55-ish+- where you have to really start grinding). It allowed me to train at much higher level mobs than I would have otherwise (Vikerolas in 50s, Gallops at 70, those new Ulu petrifighters from 80-110), saving me a ton of time, potions, buying 2Xs, etc... So, the 40M worth of stews really paid for itself! Leveling 2-3 times per 1/2 hour of 4X was just sick (obviously that rate decreased when I got to 105+- but never less than 1 level per 1/2 hour buff). That, in a nutshell, is why I think there will be a good market for reasonably priced stews. |

|
cool123ter : use ur own adive "ur dealing with an item that will be gone after you use it" witch stew will be back next year i doubt the pink scrolls will be
Doesn't matter whether they'll be back or not. It's not like once witch stews start to become limited in number by, say, January, all maplers are going to decide "Let's just not buy them because in nine months we can get them for free again!" A year is a long time. They'll die down in number relatively fast and that's why they'll inflate. Then if they even exist next Halloween, the same process applies. |
ah but you forget. apples used to be 4-5m ea before the APQ glitch which caused them to inflate to 10m+ each. when it is back to 4-5m ea it will deflate the stews too most likely/ |

I don't think stews will get more than a couple million for exactly that reason! You wouldn't spend 4M on 40atk if 5M could get you 100atk!~ But, for training purposes, you might spend 1-2M each to stockpile 16 stews to let you grind on 4X for an entire 4 hours... You might not spend 2-4 times as much to grind with apples (if you can even find that many). I think stews have a lot of intrinsic value- just not the skyrocketing prices that some people might be expecting. |
i doubt the stews will go over 2m each. by the time apple prices deflate back to their original, apples will be used instead of stews IMO apple training is still better than stews. even with the higher price (at 4-5m ea not the 10m+ prices now) |

|
cool123ter : thats wat everyone thought about the pink scroll, look what happened now.
What are you even getting at? Pink scrolls in windia were 5mil each at their lowest and they sell for 4O-45mil now. That's called inflation. And since they keep being used up with no way for them to be re-introduced into the economy, they'll keep going up. Witch Stews are the exact same thing. Maybe you should go take a high school economics class? It's a very basic law of demand. And above with the being lazy thing? It's very boring and monotonous to make hundreds of stews. It's not a matter of being too lazy to click. It's just completely boring. No one wants to spend hours doing that; it's just the potential financial gain that motivates them. |
