Shadowers vs DB's Bossing after BB!

Which job will be best for bossing after BB? Im thinking Shadowers...

My Characters: SpongeBawb - 51 Windia Dawn Warrior

Assuming that in an example, both classes are equally funded with the same equipment, DBs will outpower I believe. My hypothesis is due to Final Cut and Thorns. Final Cut will not only do large amounts of damage at the beginning, but it increases the attack potential of DBs by 90% I believe + the use of a 40% [+5% from everyone's common critical rate] chance of critical hit. Also, DBs have a higher HP/MP ratio and have the Mirrored Target skill, which is an additional 15K HP.

[/quote] but final cut takes out 40% of hp and makes you rush into the boss, so unlikely you can use it there

If you want to talk about doing large amounts of damage at the beginning, shadowers can drop tons of mesos down, and since its by number of coins, not ammount of mesos, they can open up with thousands of % worth of damage, at the cost of only a few k. 150 mesos dropped in 15 coins of 10 each will do 1800% damage. Do this 10 times? 18000% damage in a few seconds of meso bombing. Then, every few attacks there will be 15 more coins with pickpocket, more boom Shadowers have meso guard, which, even at my level, gives me an effective 9k hp. After big bang it will be more like 10k with greed, and thats without hp washing or HB. They also have smokescreen, which at max lasts 1 minute, with a cooldown of 3 minutes. That means a shadower can be invincable for 1/3 of the time while bossing. Im not saying they are the best, and im sure there are things you can say about DBs as well. After BB we will all be pretty much equal.

Even KMS shadowers are like 9th-11th on the DPS/DPM charts (no not the basil ones) after big bang, and DB's are still in the top 3-5. YES Shadowers are getting hella buffed, YES they will be awesome, but NO, they won't be the best out there damage-wise.

There's a lot of things you have to factor in. Character control and the situations of what goes on during the boss run. Funding also makes the difference as well. A rich bishop could out damage both of them if they gap in their funds was big enough.

well first DBs do use FInal cut at bosses, granted it takes a bit of luck but i have seen it done before. Now my guess would be DBs still outdamage shads but the range is not nearly as wide as it is now. Now my reasoning is not OMG DBS ARE THE BEST FOREVERZZZZ!, nor do i hate shadowers. But look at it this way, Big Bang is suppose to be about balance rite? As it is rite now Shads clearly have more defensive capablity than DBs, come Big bang that doesnt change, Shads still have more defense tools than DBs. That being said why give shads more attack then dbs? You then have Shads with better Offense and Defense than DBs (what do DBs have?, so in that scenario where is the balance? Now again that doesnt mean Shads shouldnt get a boost or shad should suck, its just I belive for sake of balance they will do slightly less damage than DBs, yet still be a force to be reckoned with. Addiotnally from what iv heard from KMS players, GMS players who can play KMS (whether we beleive what they say firsthand) is that whilst shads got a massive boost, they are not top of the DPS charts.

Shadowers are fun, but they will only have the 2nd worst dpm out of all classes after big bang.

Pick either one (or make both!) and just buy large amounts of Daggers (both clean and pre-scrolled) and Dagger scrolls. You're doing us a favor either way. xD

furyofdragns : That is true, but there is an invincibility frame when you rush into the boss, so you would most likely be protected (hypothesis).
