| Which do you think would be better for my bicep workout, for curls i can only put up about 25 each arm right now at about 7-9 reps. While curls I can do about 5-7 non-stop and about 12 with about a 2 second stop. Thoughts and Tips? |

| Chin curls. HUP! But seriously, do both. A variety is best. |

I'm trying substitute single muscle workouts for multi-muscle workouts, but I'm also trying to not lose a lot of concentration on the muscle itself, basically I'm asking what is better for My bicep while Chin Ups give the extra bonus of multi-muscles so yeah, sthu |

| Wow, what's with the stupid work out questions today? Think for a moment threadstarter, what's better: an exercise that completely isolates your bicep, one of the smallest muscles in your body, or an exercises that utilizes the one of the biggest systems of muscle in your body, your back, AND uses your biceps as secondary muscles. I'd have to agree with Urpleness, quit while you're ahead. |

| Better for your biceps alone? That would be curls. Also you shouldn't stop for 2 seconds in between reps, you need to keep the blood flowing and the muscle tense and pumping. |

Do you mean a workout that doesn't isolate one large muscle and instead activates all of your smaller and stabilizer muscles? If so then dumbell's are your best bet. Also if I was you I wouldn't just workout your biceps, that is actually really stupid. You need to workout your whole upper body or else you'll just have huge biceps which will probably lead to muscular imbalance, which usually needs physio-therapy to correct. Your best bet is to workout your whole upper body evenly, the shoulders, traps, back, triceps, biceps, and chest all need to be worked out. Here are a few good dumbell exercises for each. Shoulders - Front raises, Lateral raises Traps - Shoulder shrugs, Upright rows Back - Reverse flies, One-arm rows Triceps - Overhead triceps extensions, Triceps kickbacks Biceps - Bicep curls, Hammer curls Chest - Front flies, dumbell press (basically bench press but with dumbells, it is harder since it uses all of your smaller and stabilizer workout's so use less weight if your going to attempt this.) Just google the workouts and it will tell you how to correctly perform them. And don't tell the person your asking advice from to sthu, if you are wise you will take everything I said into consideration since working out is very serious and shouldn't be fooled around with. |

| Urpleness : No, it was just for biceps, my whole arm workout focuses on my tris and bis and a lil bit of fore-arm depending on how i feel. |
