Recently, threads have been taking FOREVER to load because of waiting for this "b.scorecardresearch.com" which is apparently part of an organization who uses it to track and record trends in different sites with it. I wouldn't mind so much if it didn't make loading hellishly slow. So, I'm asking if it's safe to block it with Adblock Plus on firefox. If i do, will it screw around with anything else?

My No-Script blocks it and apparently these trackers don't contribute anything important to the web page. You should be fine blocking it.

Yes, you should be okay. They're no different than any other tracking company like DoubleClick, Casale Media and etc.

BobRPlus, you can always go into the AdBlock Plus settings and disable individual filters if it turns out blocking something makes something else break. When I was using an ancient "backup" computer after my motherboard died, I had to disable EVERYTHING on the Basil pages to get them to load, but then I couldn't use the "popup" menus Mr. Basil seems to be so fond of, so I couldn't get to my mail. I had to one by one re-enable the filters for the Basil pages and refresh the page to see which filter was blocking the popups, then figure out a way to enable that one thing just on the mail page because otherwise it made all the pages horribly slow to load. Pain in the patootie, but it worked.
