Online relationships are stupid? Read my story :P

For all of the people who thinks online/distant relationships are dumb please read this :D Everyone has their own love story, here is ours. I�ll try make this a quick, interesting, and worth reading story. I met her online on a game called Maplestory (nerdy, I know right?) sometime in the middle of November 2009. I randomly met her on the game while playing with my friend Seria. She introduced us to each other so we talked for awhile during that day. A week later, we decided to add each other on Facebook and I noticed how funny that it is that we both lived in the same state, Massachusetts. As weeks goes on, I get an �online crush� (sounds stupid right?) for her. We both decided to get �married� on Facebook for fun on Taylor Swift�s birthday, December 13th 2009 and exchanged numbers. Even though our taste in music is the total opposite, I still thought she was an awesome girl to talk to with a great personality. On random days, I would ask her to talk on the phone with me even though she said she never talks on the phone but she did anyways. Sometime around January I wanted to ask her to hang out in a non-creepy way but I did not have the courage to ask her. Two months had past and in March I finally got unlimited texting so we started to text each other 24/7. A couple of months more, I realized I really liked her and it was already June. I was already on my summer break because I got out on the 8th. Since she goes to a public school she got out on the 21st. This time, I sucked up all of my guts, pushed it to the side and asked her to hang out in Boston. I was very happy when she said yes. On Friday, June 25th 2010, we met up in Boston for the very time. I was very nervous and shy on that day. In the beginning of the day, it was really awkward because of the awkward silences (lol) but later on the awkward silence broke and we talked and chilled like we already knew each other in real life. Our day consisted of sticking posts it�s on cars with tickets on Newbury Street, chilling in the park with Thai Tea, Boston Common, and my favorite part of the day: the Boston Harbor. At the end of the day, we sat at the Boston Harbor and watched the sunset together. The first time meeting her was one of the best days of my life. Because of meeting her for the first time was an amazing day, I decided to ask her to hang out again a week later on July 4th 2010. I asked her if she wanted to spend the day with me and watch the fireworks, and again she said yes. Even though I have already met her, I was still nervous but there were no awkward silences(Thank God xD). Our day consisted of going to the Cambridge Mall, Harvard Park, and again the Boston Harbor. Of course we had an amazing day once again but it got even better towards the end. We were going to the Boston Harbor to see the fireworks but we saw people going towards the Boston Common so we walked back to the Boston Common. Aw! You guys are so cute! Congrats you two. =] Two of my friends actually met once at an amusement park when they went to summer camp. They hung out all day and after that day kept in touch. Eventually their lives got so busy that they were unable to keep responding to one another. Years passed [10 to be exact] and they ended up seeing each other again on an online game [what are the odds right?]. They started to keep in touch again and now, as of last year, they are happily married. I'm in a current distance relationship with my boyfriend. I live in Pennsylvania and he lives close to Boston. We met in person when I used to go to the same high school as him. Unfortunately, I moved as soon as we started dating. Nowadays we only see each other during breaks from school [i.e. summer, Christmas, Spring Break, etc.]. It's not easy but as long as you make time for the person you love, distance is nothing. =]

I seem to have seen this picture before o; Did you post it somewhere else on basil? Nice story, but when people say online relationships, methinks they mean...relationships that stay online. You guys look cute.

Ah she's really pretty. Congrats. But considering you guys are in the same state, it's a little easier for the relationship to work out. I think the online relationship haters are more focused on relationships where the people are many states (even different countries) apart.
