Help on killing Captain Latanica

I'm level 76 Marauder, on my way to killing Captain Latanica. I have 171 accuracy, and according to this , I am able to hit it 100% of the time. How much does Captain Lat. hit? Does he have any magic attack I should be aware of and how much is my touch damage? My range is 8xx~1500 and I have 4.1k hp. Thanks in advance.

I've been hit with a 3.8k by his boat attack. I would probably recommend 4k+ HP based on your defense. EDIT: Ah, I see you have 4.1k HP. You should be good... but you'll need some strong potions! I'm thinking Melting Cheese... Also, his touch damage is only like 1.7k I think (to me anyway).

I believe it does about the same damage as crogs, slightly less, so in the mid-high 3k area.

[/quote] Well, I got 222 def and 117 magic defense. Should I go get some avoid and def pots as well, or am I able to tank a hit? I use Barbarian Elixers, btw. Will I be able to tank a hit, repot and not die from the 2nd attack? Or should I use Honster elixers that heal 60% hp? And I could use Corkscrew in betwen his attacks and use to iFrame to keep me from getting hit every so often.

You've got a good 250 damage buffer or so from dying. I would probably advise to use Honsters at a minimum as even that would require a double-pot every time you get hit by the boat. Barbarians would mean a triple-pot @_@. Since you're a marauder, you could probably get away with barbarians as long as you keep your iFrames up. I rarely got hit when I solo'd it thanks to barrage's iFrames, and most of the time it was just touch damage (thanks to barrage inching me forward with every cast lol). On the other hand, my wife (12x Corsair) used a ton more potions than I did as she was getting constantly hit by the boat and can only take 1 hit from it without dying lol.

[/quote] He's a mobile boss, so if you cork and backspin, you'll probably drag him back with you lol. The safest, but slowest route would be to just use the Cork -> FF combo. Obviously the fastest would be to just spam the DU -> FF -> FF combo over and over while tanking hits. You could probably do the DU -> FF -> FF until you get clobbered, and then cork into him and potion up while your iFrames are active, then repeat. If you were a higher level I'd recommend to just Cork -> FF until your energy is charged, then stand on him while spamming drain. That way, you'd only be taking the 1.7k dmg from touch, be dealing touch damage to him from the bubble, and healing back whatever you take from drain. It's quite fun... but a level 1 drain just won't cut it.

GL. I tried to solo it on my beginner once, only to have my HBr DIE and then afk without telling me. I was able to avoid his magic by body slamming him after every hit, but only for about 10minutes of time. I came back on my marauder and tried again, and was able to kill him because i had more HP/did more damage. Just know that you'll have a huge damage reduction on him (>20%) because of his high level.

I died when my autopot wasn't on but he's pretty easy about 1min 30sec to kill maybe 5mins for you. Makes sure you bring atleast 100power elixers

Soloed it on my lvl81 crusader. Went dead pretty fast. Shouldn't be too hard for u to solo either.

You can kill him fast. Well considering Im level 200 he only hits about 178-300 damage on me but if you got an Hber I would suggest bringing about 70+ Power Elixirs kuz ur iFrames wont really help since you dont get your good set frames till your a buccaneer or have maxed Shockwave kuz you corkscrew-backspin and he doesnt drag back use Shockwave to just remove the chance of his boat hitting you. If you need any help I can help on my Night Lord if you need it..
