What is the current state of maple and windows 7? Please post as well as vote . A few moments of your time would help me quite alot. If none of the vote options are relevant enough for your situation (keep in mind, windows 7 only for this thread) please post that and details. State in your post: Version of windows (ex. Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate) If maple works (yes/no) How you get it to work Additional notes (constant DC, DC when ccing, boss DC, no dc at all) Any help would be appreciated as I am soon finishing a new PC I made which will have windows 7 ultimate. Currently unsure if I will install x64 or x86.

Ever since last weeks s/c, I've been getting the "Maple has stopped working....Looking for solution" window popping up when I play around every 30mins-1hour. Other than that, I get the usual boss d/c and random dcing other people get. CC d/c as well. There are times when I change chars and I instantly d/c. I can't survive in Ch 1 Fm entrance either in Windia. Fine in Galicia though. There's also certain maps that take like 15-20seconds to load which often results in d/c shortly afterwards. W7 64-bit

It's a rare occasion but sometimes pre-made laptops / desktops differ in compatibility for certain things. qwan456 : ASUS P7P55D-E Pro (LGA 1156) Intel Core i3 540 Clarkdale (3.06GHz) No other specs should matter other than those. And what I meant was that there are certain settings you can do such as set it to run as administrator, run in compatibility mode for another OS, disable certain enhancements, etc.

I have windows 7 64-bit ultimate - maple only dc's on me at random times if I use the game launcher to log in or when I go to bosses like zakum. I always use the website to log on unless I can't otherwise.

As for the last part, I meant what I said. ATM, it's at it default setting on an Administrative account (I never run in compatibility mode either). Unless you are talking about how I uninstall all of the bloatwares that Asus and Bestbuy put on it, install Firefox, Winamp, CCCP (codec pack), and other things like my antivirus and firewall, but those things shouldn't affect your gameplay. It's basically the same as I first day bought it (this will change when I go about doing it though). As for my RC desktop, I didn't do anything to it, as it was a temporary thing (just download off of the Microsoft site and install it on that P4 computer).

If Maple is running badly and giving you issues, -make a small 50-100gig disc partition(I'm assuming you have over 500gigs in your HDD, 50gig of that is nothing) -Put WinXP on the partition -Install Maple on the XP partition -Boot XP for mapleing, boot Win7 for non mapleing I had a lot of issues with Win7(64bit Ult) on my rig and I finally gave up and did that. And since Maple has no issues with XP, it works fine. I will say though, I noticed people with better computers seem to have more issues. ie: Better CPUs and also running higher end graphics cards.

osiel66 I have the best solution that alot of people will agree on. Step 1: Snap your Windows 7 Disc in half. Step 2: Throw it away. Step3 (This one is the most important step):Install. XP. Problem Solved. :D

Windows 7 Professional 32bit It just worked o-o I did nothing except download and play Only random d/cs every once in a while [1-3 weeks]

[/quote] That is a last resort. Hopefully It will work without having to do that.

Windows 7, Home Premium (64-bit). Laptop, though. d/cs often, not all the time. It has given me some overheating problems, and about 5 BSODs already and counting... and it's new since October 1st(this year..)
