Arans with 360 controller

I'm thinking of coming back to MS after a year or so and if I do, I plan on making an Aran. So, any Arans out there that use a 360 controller? If so, how does it feel? What's your lay out? thanks

Alright now for the guy with x-box360 controller use X to attack (arrow keys use the small pad thing (unless u can use the joystick idk)) B for pots Y for other mp pots R or L as combat step (search up combat jumping and you'll understand) A to jump.

lol, i'm coming back to maplestory too and making an aran too. but idk how to use the xbox controller if it's wireless. lol.. idk doesn't matter i can't get on maplestory anyways with my stupid windows vista computer.

You need to buy a windows receiver in order to connect your controller to your pc, will cost around 15 euros.

Yeah, I tried to get it to work on my PS3 controller. I used the charger and plugged it into the USB and when I was in the game looking at the joystick settings, it said SONY PLAYSTATION CONTROLLER, but when I set a button to jump, not a single one of the buttons worked.

I am an aran and I sometimes play with an xbox 360 controller. A-jump, X-attack, Y-pickup, etc etc. The D-pad can be used for movement but i set it to 8 way directional and use it for 8 buffs or somethin. THats up down left right and the 4 corners so 8 total. I set the left stick to movement and the right stick is set to a mouse and clicking it in is left click on mouse. You can map everything except the guide button on the controller. I use Pinnacle Game Profiler and it works great with xbox 360 controllers and ps3 controllers. All the software does is map the controller to the keyboard and at a 1:1 ratio. Also when you pick somethin up with a button u dont keep pressing it over and over u just hold it in and walk across the map and loot at an amazing rate. Unless someone has another controller or some weird hack that allows them to loot at a high rate they cannot pick something up before you using pinnacle game profiler + xbox360 controller. I think holding in Y on my controller is equal to around pressing a keyboard key at about 14 times a second but I dunno could be a bit slower or faster. Good luck and hope this helps.

Use X-Padder to connect any controller. It works awesomly.

I use xpadder and its so much easier on your fingers than a keyboard, especially if you grind for a long time. I use A-jump X-attack B-pick up and Y- as mount. 2 dpad buttons for macro buffs, other 2 for mouse clicks. My left stick for movement and right one for mouse. My bumpers are buff pots and my triggers are pots. It feels gooooooood.

You got to have the correct drivers, try googleing it. I used to use a ps3 controller and my bigscreen tv. Was amazing to be able to sit on my comfy couch and listen to music while I would play, vent helped a lot as well.
