Hello Basilers, This thread is basically to show you my opinion about the pros and the cons of the new monsters which came with the update of Ulu city: Petrifighters and Dukus. Lets start with Petrifighters, Level 110: Petrifighters are found in the last few maps of the expansion of singapore named Ulu City. Petrifighters are best to be compared with Jr. newties and Nest golems according to the way they fight, the damage they deal and how fast they are. Pros: -Petrifighters are found in huge groups and they have a nice spawn rate. -They give 4550 xp, while newties only give 3800 xp and nest golems 8050 xp, (but they have 125.000 hp in total. (Jr. newtie + Nest golem itself)) this means that with a 2x xp coupon, a 2x family buff and a HS buff, you'll already get around 21k+ xp for 1 single kill. -They are very slow so they wont hit you that often, if you are a skilled player. -The magic attack only hits you when you are on the ground at the time they hit you, so you can easily avoid from getting hit by these. -The drops of the petrifighters are still mostly unknown, so this might be a great time to check it out yourself. -Sharing the map with friends, without being in a party is possible. -Freeze attacks are very effective -Chain lightning basically hits the whole map and is therefore very usefull. Cons: -There is no mini-dungeon of these monsters and the map where you hunt the Petrifighters is pretty big, so you can be Kill stealed pretty easy. -They have 80000 hp while Jr. Newties have only 53000 Hp, BUT nest golems actually have 125.000 in total. (Jr. newtie + Nest golem itself) - If you have a job based on close combat attacks, you will be hit quite often and the Petrifighters will hit you 2k+, so if you don't have around 5k HP, you will be dead in 2 hits, so a tiny moment of lagg can already be fatal. Therefor going with a HBer is suggested. -There are not many ways for jobs who are based on long ranged attack to fight the Petrifighters. -No elemental weaknesses, which is bad for a lot of jobs. -Petrifighters can barely be Poisoned, it just happens very often. -The magic attack of the petrifighers have a very huge range. If you are on another platform fighting the mobs, some mobs of another platform can still hit you. Try to kill all the mobs on a platform before moving to the next one en try to jump as soon as they perform their magic attack. -If you are a class with low stanima you will be instantly dead as soon as log log in into a map with Petrifighters, because you will join the map at the lower portal were all the monsters are, so you will be instantly dead unless somebody just killed the monsters over there. It is higly suggested to not log out in a map with Petrifighters when you cant survive just one hit. Conclusion: I suggest you to hunt petrifighters only if your job is based on close ranged attacks. Otherwise I suggest you to hunt Petrifighters with a Party including at least a Dark knight and one player with a job which is based

pretty nice compilation, kudos I am pretty glad that dukus came out, they should be pretty sweet exp to any fp archmage out there. I/ls get to train at the Oblivion maps so its nice we got an alternative too :P and a minidungeon at that! The stunning is a real shame though, and the fact that they're not elementally weak puts training there out of the question on my paladin :[

I found out strangely, Dual Blades can get cheap kills at Duku's if they are standing on a bar near the portal to Krexel. Triple slash to kill above and Upper Stab or Fatal Blow to kill the sides. You must be on the rail to attack the top and to not get hit by the ones on the side. Other classes might be able to kill from sides on the rails, but not the top unless they have a Big ranged skill. Note : Dual Blades have no camping spots in the Hidden Street of Duku's and Duku Mini Dungeon . Dual Blades can only camp at the map before Krexel.

Im not too sure if the dukus are ice weak, but i just went there with a good friend and it was rly easy to avoid the stuns. being an aran gives us that advantage i guess. continuous attacks. and yeah, i love this exp XD. new training spot <3

You should exclude close range jobs such as Shadowers, Dual Bladers and Buccaneers perhaps. They have high avoid/iframes.

Might wanna add that Petrifighters cannot be poisoned. Dukus, however, can.

Actually Dukus don't stun me too much at all, and I'm a Drk. Just kill them fast enough and you'll be fine. You forget that skeles cast defense up, making them harder to kill than Dukus even though they have less HP.
