Now over the time i've been playing the vista dcing has gotten worse :[. Used to be able to change quality to be fine but now when i boss not even a minute through and maple will shut down saying "Maplestory has stopped responding". The reason i posted this is because i'm wondering if i am the only one. :o Also if there is a way to dodge the dc/ing like you could change quality so the bosses wouldn't disappear.

I dont see why everyone complains about vista's dcing all the time O.o, I have a vista and I've never dced at any boss O.o (zak,ht,ext)

My friend and I uses Vista Home Prem. 32 Bit on our laptops. I rarely (or never) d/c when I go on Scar and Balrog PQ. My friend d/ced when he went to Scar. I told him to restart his laptop and so he did, we went in Scar again and he no longer d/c during the run. I haven't tried Zakum or HT yet but will try on them if I can. What I would do to be safe is to restart your computer and change your Vista theme from Vista Aero to Windows Standard or Classic. This helps reduces the chances of being d/ced. Also, if you are connected wireless, switch to wired if possible. That way, there may not be any interferences between you and the Wifi connection point. I usually restart my PC before I enter a boss to be safe and whenever I restart, I have never faced a D/C when the PC was just "freshly" restarted. I don't know if it will work for you but it helped for me. If this temporary solution no longer works, we're gonna have to wait till Nexon releases a OS compatibility patch which God knows when... =/.

WELL, i still dc at cwkpq (my favorite pq) always at the boss part..., i think it just depends on how many people i go on the boss run with, and sense i always need 10 people in a cwkpq, then it fails T____T. GG NX

I use Vista-32bit. I got the same problem, but the only way I can avoid this disconnection is by changing resolution. For example, at zakum. Enter Alter with low quailty or high quailty Zakum Spawn = Low to High(If lag @ High, just change back to low after spawn and changing resolution) All arms gone + Throughout the whole zakum bodies + Weapon & Magic Defenese= Low > Mid-Low > Mid > Mid-High > High or High > Mid-High > Mid > Mid-Low > Low It may not be necessary to do it all the times, but it helps me keep alive from disconnection. At Cwkpq it's more simpler. Change resolution once throughout every stages and bosses. @ Bosses Change resolution once @ spawn When mage princess or w.e she is dies changes resolution once. After all bosses dies changes resolution once again. You can do it every time when bosses die, but that's what I do. It may help if you do to every boss for win7 since a guild mate of mines tried and didn't disconnect. ^_^ Not sure if this would help for Vista-64bit or win7 and w.e bit it has. But doesn't hurt to try. Hope this help for anyone~
