| So I was going through the skill lists and I came up with some ideas for a magician build after big bang. Here's what I have so far: 1st Job Max Magic Claw (20) Max Magic Armor (15) Max Magic Guard (15) Max MP Increase (10) Energy Bolt (7) 2nd Job Max MP Eater (20) Max Spell Mastery (20) Max Cold Beam (20) Max Thunder Bolt (20) Max Teleport (20) Max Meditation (20) Slow (1) 3rd Job Max Thunder Spear (20) Max Ice Strike (20) Max Amplification (20) Max Booster (20) Max Teleport Mastery (10) Max Elemental Reset (10) Max Composition (20) That leaves 31 points between Partial Resistance and Seal. I am not sure what to do. I was thinking to finish out slow for mobile bosses (Anego, Pap) but I am not sure. That still leaves 12 points in 3rd job. What do you think we should do? Also, discuss 4th job builds, I want to make this an actual guide soon. All input is appreciated. |

| You drop Cold Beam in 2nd job and Elemental Composition in 3rd job. |

| No offense but that build is just... =S Cold Beam before Thunderbolt? Thunderspear before Ice Strike/Amp/Booster?... There's a good post-bb i/l guide somewhere on basil. You should look it up. |

| ^Yeah, that's it. The only thing I'm considering is dropping Seal, Comp, Cold Beam. Slow is -80 for 80 seconds so it seems to have improved greatly post bb. |

| I remember there was a list with monsters post BB. Anyone care to link me to it? I can't seem to find it. Main reason is because i read somewhere that monsters have a lot more MP after big bang. So I wanted to have a look at how effective MP eater actually is. Absorbing 40% of the enemy's MP should become pretty good if they indeed increased the MP on monsters. |

The skill pays off a lot more in the later levels than the previous, but it should be worthy of maxing in 2nd job overall. |

| I know that I am going to drop seal. I guess it looks like I'm maxing slow. That'll be cool for when I fight Anego |

There is just no good reason to max both, especially now that you get Elemental Reset. |

I probably won't drop Elemental Composition now for the same reason I didn't drop Thunder Spear when 4th job came out. I like the skill As it seams, I am going to max slow with the points I would have had in seal. Then when I have everything else done I'll just dump remaining points in Resistance |

And in any case, a useless support skill is more worth maxing than a useless attack skill. |

| I dropped Spear to max Slow and Seal, as a 4th Job mage I don't regret dropping TSpear, but I guess mages can boss earlier now, meaning it would be a superior choice over Composition. Slow and Seal haven't really been ever to useful, and with Elquines giving us freeze, and Slow overall being useless I'd probably go with Elemental Resistance. There is utility in Slow with mobile bosses, so dropping Composition totally and maxing Slow, would be the best route here, if you plan on taking on said bosses. |

| Thanks Donovan. It seems that I can have max Slow then with the 12 points I can go with Resistance leaving Seal at 0. As for the guide that QuickJumper posted, seal would be replced with Comp or Resistance. Since Seal doesnt work on bosses and Resistance can provide SOME defence. |
